I made this recipe with a few changes. I precooked the rice in water using 2 cups of organic brown basmati (5 cups cooked). I increeased the recipe size to 8. I put in at least 2 teaspoons of minced garlic, 1 1/2 tsp. chili powder, 1/2 tsp of cayenne, and a can of tomato soup. I also fried up a pound of bratwurst and then added the chicken broth to the brat and sauteed the veggies, adding the fresh tomato last.
My grandkids thought they had died and gone to "grandpa can cook" heaven. I've never seen them polish off so much food at one serving. It was wonderful and spicy.
