"'I received this recipe from a good friend who is a fabulous cook,' remarks Donna Brockett of Kingfisher, Oklahoma. The colorful side dish gets its zesty flavor from spicy canned tomatoes with green chilies."

I actually neglected to see that this was supposed to be cooked for 6 hours, and only left it over heat for about a half hour. It was still great. So, don't let the cooking time scare you - you can make this flavorful dish in a much shorter amount of time! We also made this with vegetarian bacon, and it was still a hit.
