I've been teaching microwave cooking classes for over 10 years. These meatballs always get people excited about using their microwaves. The recipe is easy enough for kids to prepare on their own.

My mother gave me this recipe some time ago. It's a winner in our family - kids especially seem to like the spaghetti. It's a different way to serve pot roast...and sure makes the house smell good when it's simmering! Everyone I've shared the recipe with has said how much they're enjoyed it.

This has always been a favorite dish of our Sisters who work in a hospital. When we get back to the convent, it's a quick and easy recipe we've used for years. Served with Italian bread and a tossed salad, it makes an excellent meal.

Three-Meat Spaghetti Sauce

I simmer this hearty sauce in large batches, freeze it and use it for spaghetti, lasagna, mostaccioli and pizza, writes Ellen Stringer of Fairmont, West Virginia. I adapted the original recipe until I came up with the perfect sauce. I've received many compliments from friends and family. I simmer it in a large electric roaster instead of on the stovetop, she says.
