Ground beef and chopped onions are cooked with parsley and olive oil, then simmered with a pleasing blend of tomato juice, tomato sauce, salt, pepper, garlic and just the right amount of Worcestershire to give the sauce an extra kick.

A quick and tasty spaghetti sauce. I make it for my family all the time, and they love it. Spoon sauce generously over spaghetti noodles. Best served with generous portions of garlic toast.

This sauce came from a good friend's Italian Mother-in-law. It is easy, and by far the best homemade sauce I know of. Great for both Spaghetti and Lasagna. Pssst...the secret is the sugar! Also, as I am now vegetarian, it tastes great with out the meat! Just substitute two tablespoons olive oil for the beef.

Tasty seasoned meatballs simmered in a flavorful red sauce. For a creamier sauce, substitute milk for the water.

Field Grade Spaghetti Sauce

The delightful surprise ingredient in this sauce is cinnamon, and I guarantee that it's absolutely delicious! In the military, the term "field grade" is for Colonels and Generals, as in "He's a field grade officer." That's how this recipe got it's name...by being the cream of the crop! It's one of the many recipes I've accumulated as a military wife for almost 30 years. This sauce freezes well.

Plenty of onions, carrots and celery go into this extra meaty tomato sauce, thick with minced beef and pork. A host of dried herbs add earthy notes to the simmer, and a handful of fresh mushrooms are stirred in at the last minute.
