I stirred the pasta pretty quickly while slowly adding the beaten egg and that prevented me from ending up with big hunks of scrambled egg.My family loved it...

I've been looking for an authentic recipe as I did not want the ones with cream. I just substituted the butter with olive oil and added some garlic when Iheated the oil. My 3-year old daughter loved it.

This recipe was alright, nothing too special. My hubbie loved it though which was pretty impressive since he isn't a fan of pasta at all. He even told me I should make it again.

Awesome! I used turkey bacon, 3 tablespoons of margarine instead of 1/3 cup, and I added some minced garlic and spinach. I've never had Spaghetti Carbonara before, but this was YUMMY!

I've been having strong cravings for Spaghetti Carbonara, but because I'm pregnant I was nervous about eating it the way I'm used to, with the eggs just heated through, so this recipe was perfect. I did add pepper, like a few other people mentioned, and I took out about half of the bacon grease that was in the pan before adding the butter. Delicious!

Nice and easy recipe. This is the first time I have had Spaghetti Carbonara, and I have to say that it is an interesting dish. I added 2 T of minced onion with the butter and bacon drippings for added flavor along with some garlic pepper. Fresh garlic would be a nice addition as well. Tip: Temper eggs with small amount of the spaghetti water before adding to spaghetti.

I was looking for something quick to make for lunch and this came out just right. This recipe is the closest to the real "Spaguetti Alla Carbonara" I could find, the authentic recipe asks for olive oil instead of butter, fresh ground pepper and a little (very little) heavy cream. I made a few alterations to be lower in fat: since I don't eat red meat I didn't use any bacon, whole wheat pasta, 2 eggs + 1 egg white (for extra protein), 2 Tbsp of half and half, fresh ground pepper and a good quality parmesan. It turned out a lighter version of the real Carbonara.

Very fast and easy for a busy mom of 3!! Kids liked it...I didn't even have cheese on hand and it still turned out great because of the bacon flavor.

I would have to say that this was the best carbonara I have ever made. I followed the recipe closely, expect I left out the bacon drippings. My family loves it!

This was a quick, yummy recipe. I also added garlic to the eggs, and used olive oil instead of butter (it was still really greasy). Omitted the cheese because we aren't big fans of it. Yum!

Delicious! I tweaked it a bit myself, though...I substituted olive oil for the butter, and used a lot less of it. I also added minced garlic to the beaten eggs, and LOTS of fresh-cracked pepper. My husband loved it...it was creamy, bacon-y goodness!

This is one of our favorites, instead of cooking the sauce we just pour the hot pasta over the eggs, butter, bacon, chese, and lots of black pepper. I find this makes a very creamy sauce and eliminates the bits of cooked egg in the sauce. Obviously not recommended for anyone who should not eggs.

This was fantastic, but only 4 because it is yet another dish I enjoyed that I can't make again, as the finicky 11 year old strikes. However, this was very, very good and will think of making again when he isn't here to eat it! :) Beware greasy bacon though, try to get one that is not real greasy!
