This was good, but I wouldn't say it was great. Definitely needs more of everything. Also, needs salt and pepper and lots of it. We also added parmasan cheese, which made the dish. Otherwise it was pretty bland and dry. I also had to add more oil. I used turkey bacon doesn't make any grease. Maybe thats why. Thats my opinion on it anyway.

I've wanted to make Carbonara for months but was always frightened off about cooking the egg and ruining the dish. Tonight I felt brave and found a great recipe to add to the regular rotation. =) I took the advice of others of combining the egg and cheese and added it to the dish after the pasta had cooled slightly. Creamy goodness! I used Turkey Bacon because that's all we had. The only comment my husband made was that he wanted more bacon and perhaps mushrooms in it too. Other than that he really liked it. It was quick, easy, and all ingredients are readily stocked in my house... love it!

Quite nice; we liked it alot; my daughter thought it was ok; my stepson ate barely half; if that, of his. Did add a bit more garlic; as well as some mushrooms; some capsicum (bell peppers for those in America); and some spinach; and omitted the wine (as we don't drink any at all; didn't see the point of getting some jus to use a little bit of the bottle; as the rest would have been wasted) - I do realize all of this would have changed the flavour a bit; but we liked it as we'd had it. Great base recipe; though!

Sorry, this was just okay. I didn't think it had a lot of flavor. The eggs didn't seem like they did much to the dish either. Not sure what else it needed. I don't think I would make it again.

The flavor was good, but the eggs just coated the pasta and I didn't feel like we got a lot of the flavor from them. That may be how its meant to be, but next time we'll scramble the eggs in a separate pan and mix them in.

I made this recipe, and my husband, who is very picky, really liked it. To lighten it up I used egg whites and I added chicken and used less bacon and omitted the olive oil. I didn't have any parsley in the house so I used Italian seasoning and it came out great!! Thanks!!!

Out of this world. My husband brought unexpected company home at dinner time and I was terrified since I had planned for us to have leftovers. I would usually have most of the ingredients on hand anyways for this recipe which is a big plus, but I had actually put this on our menu to have this week anyhow so I whipped out the ingredients and hoped it was company worthy AND WOW YES IT WAS!! The guest raved and wanted the recipe! So I didn't have to kill my husband after all. It was creamy and very impressive. I did add 3/4 c warmed heavy cream at the end, I used 4-5 pressed garlic cloves (we are garlic lovers and could have added more for our taste), and I did not have fresh parsley so I thinly sliced some scallions for the same effect and it presented wonderfully plus added a nice subtle onion. A definite keeper and a new family favorite. My husband loves bacon and eggs as well as spaghetti, so this dish is a match made in heaven. Thanks for the recipe!

I made this with less pasta as it was only for 2, and then ended up recooking the whole dish again the next night - it was that good. I added a little cayenne but kept everything else the same. This is a great dish that uses ingredients that I had around the house.

very good. like many others suggested i mixed the eggs and parm together and tossed w/ the pasta after it cooled slightly. i didnt bother draining off any bacon grease so i left out the olive oil. the white wine was a nice touch

Great recipe, but didn't turn out as pretty as the picture. Maybe next time - Is there a trick to making it get creamier - mine looked like it had some scrambled egg bits if you looked very close.

Very good. We added asparagus and mushrooms and followed the suggestion to adding milk/cream in with eggs. Yummy without any left over!

This was very delish and easy to make! I used Turkey Bacon and whole wheat spaghetti to make it healthier. I wish I had egg beaters on hand to use instead of regular eggs, but that's ok. Next time.

I made this for brunch today and it was wonderful. I used angel hair pasta instead of spaghetti, because it was what I had on hand. I will be making this for our family get together this coming weekend.

I didnt have olive oil so I used normal oil. The cream at the end is a VERY good idea. A very good receipe (I overcooked the pasta) but I will def make it again.
