my version became more of a chili than a stew. i added a half a roll of beef chorizo to this recipe along with ancho chile powder and a 1/2 cup of sliced jalapenos...i also sprinkled a tbsp of sugar and let simmer...top with muenster cheese. my boys devoured it and was calling for it as i was cooking the meat.

Nice mix, I used black beans and a little more spice (added pinch of habanero salt). Turned out nice!

I have made this stew about 10 times it is so delicious. I would give more stars if I could. If I could give one suggestion it would be to use one can of mild ROTEL diced tomatoes and green chiles and one can of regular diced tomatoes, but this recipe is very simple, fast, and very, very DELICIOUS. You won't be sorry. Good eating.

This was a quick and easy meal. My husband LOVES it. I used black beans and added the pack of taco season to make it perfect. I served it with tortilla chips and a hint of cheese and sour cream.
