Yummy. 3 bacons were fine. I sliced the cabbage until there was a core to remove, then I squared the cabbage slices. Thanks.

Holy cow this was delicious!!! I didn't use salt as the bacon is salty enough already. I did scoop the bacon out and stir fired the cabbage and onion without it cause I wanted my bacon crispy. I added 6 strips of bacon instead of 3 and drained some of the grease before adding the cabbage and onion. So declicious!!!!

Awesome! I used more like a third of a lb of bacon, yellow onion instead of white onion because it is what I had on hand and I did not use any vegetable oil. This was absolutely delicious. The relaxed texture of cabbage and onion mixed with the crunch of bacon was so yum! Needless to say my house smelled terrific.

I've done this recipe before a few times. I doubled the slices on bacon and cut out the vegetable oil. I used the extra gease from the extra slices of bacon. Great Recipe! Delish!

The recipe itself was easy and straightforward. I did alter it a bit, so I can't rate it as is, but I will share my alterations. I added caraway seeds and celery seed as one review suggested. I also added a bit of balsamic vinegar, and a little less sugar. Cooked it up for about 15 minutes and added in crushed ramen noodles just before serving. Delicious!!

Awesome recipe. We have made this so many times, it is now a staple in my home. We like our bacon, so i use closer to a half pound. I also add a half cup of white wine to reduce. And chipolte in adobe to taste(usually 2 for a kick).
