These are the best biscuits ever!!!! I have been trying to come close to my husbands grandmothers biscuits that he remembers having as a little boy. I made them last night at a friends house and everyone loved them! My husband said they were better than his mawmaws southern biscuits! Yes! I found the best recipe. I used the biscuit mix from this site that uses 10 cups of flour, baking soda and powder, salt as well as 1 1/4 cup of vetagble oil. It smells like bisquick mix! I store it in an air tight container to use as bisquick mix. It works well with this recipe. :) I will not look any more for other biscuit recipes! This is it for us!

AMAZING! Softest biscuits ever. I, like the others needed more flour for the kneeding. I also flipped the biscuits after 10 minutes, so they got equally brown on each side. I only baked for 15 minutes - perfection.

Very good! I cut the ingredients in half as it's just me and my son. I DID NOT roll them out, instead patted them into 9 circles and baked them as indicated. Really good and easy.

Good biscuits. I cut the recipe in half and they were perfect. I rolled them a little bit thiner because I like my biscuits a little bit crispy. I also used the light sour cream to cut back on the fat content. I will be making this often. Quick and easy!

These are very good and so easy. I did need to add flour - at least 3/4 C more - the dough was way too sticky. I used the heart smart bisquick and diet soda and they still tasted wonderful. Will make these again.

These turned out great! I didn't have lemon-lime soda, so I used seltzer and added 1 t. lemon juice (in case it was needed to "activate" another ingredient. Turned out great!

These are super easy and really good. I used cream soda in mine and they were sweet but great with just plain honey!

These are hands down THE BEST biscuits I have ever made or eaten! I didn't really want to open a whole can of Sprite to make this and was going to substitute, but glad I didn't change it because these were the lightest fluffiest best tasting biscuit ever! I used homemade baking mix (recipe here on AR) and all I could say with every bite was, "Wow!". The orange honey butter was fabulous too! I made another orange butter recipe too and this one was far superior to it. So, THANKS A MILLION for 2 terrific recipes!!!

The recipe, with the butter (I didn't add orange zest) was phenomenal! Best right out of the oven. I did find the dough very sticky and had to add more flour than expected during the kneading process, but they still turned out wonderful.

Delicious, I will make them again. I ended up adding almost a full cup of flour while kneading, they were very sticky. But the kids loved them

I have been making these for years. They are the best and easiest ever. My recipe called for a stick of butter melted in the pan befor baking and a stick melted and poured on top. Of course those would be the best, but i usually use 1/4 to 1/2 cup total, depending on what i am making them for.

I have been looking for a "good biscuit" recipe & I will look no further...I thought the ingredients were a bit odd, but I had sour cream & Sierra Mist, so thought I would give it a try...they baked up high, no lemon-lime flavor, my daughter thought I had bought these...thanks so much for sharing this recipe.....
