'WE GROW our own strawberries, so our table usually features an abundance of this fruit. We gather other favorite fruits at the store and blend them with our berries for a refreshing, colorful breakfast salad. I serve the dressing on the side, so people can take as much as they want.'

Though fresh fruit steals the show in this morning medley, the subtle honey sauce makes it an especially sweet treat. 'It takes just 10 minutes to assemble this easy salad, which tastes so good with brunch,' says Dorothy Dinnean of Harrison, Arkansas. TIP: Don't have those fruits on hand? Try blackberries, mangoes or peaches instead.

This is my doctored up version of a diet ambrosia salad my mom always made. I admit that this sounds strange, but it really is sweet and refreshing on a hot summer day! (It's not as low-cal as hers.) It's also easy to adjust to your family's fruit preferences.
