These cookies were fantastic. It really helps to refrigerate the dough before baking because the dough is quite liquidy. Also, make sure to let them cool before stacking them or they meld together. They were delicious.

These cookies are not peanut buttery enough for me. I even added 1/4 c. extra peanut butter and they still were kind of blah. They are rather oily, too. Not horrible, but not good. I will keep searching for a good soft peanut butter cookie recipe.

I have been making these cookies for about 6 years now. They have never failed at being delicious. My husband is in the Navy and when he was on the submarine and would go out on deployments, I would make a massive amount of these cookies for him to take with him. He said anytime he would be eating them, everyone around wanted some of "Mrs. Bates' peanut butter cookies." Everyone knew about my cookies by the time his sea duty was done. Anyways, I do add one ingredient...one bag of peanut butter chips. They make a nice addition to an already perfect recipe.

I added 1/4 cup of flour as another reviewer suggested. Mistake. Not chewy at all. Pressed PB M&Ms into top. Nice. Will try again w/o extra flour.

Wonderful cookie lightly crisp on the edge and soft /chewy in middle. I did add heap teaspoon of flour and extra teaspoon of peanut butter, baked for 15 min...perfect! Not a crumbly cookie!

These are awesome! Soft and chewy just like the the recipe says! I did follow some of the other reviews though and added extra peanut butter. I think I added an extra 1/2 cup. Next time I will add a little more flour too! They sure didn't last long! My kids were eating them as fast as they were coming out of the oven! Great cookies! Can't wait to make them again!!!!!

I was looking for a chewy peanut butter cookie and this was the perfect recipe. I had to substitute crisco for the butter but otherwise followed the recipe exactly and they turned out great. The cookie has a light peanut butter taste and so if you like it stronger (similar to regular Jiffy cookies) I would add a little more. It all depends on personal preference but either way, it is a wonderful cookie recipe! I will definitely keep this one and use it for years to come!

Just what I was looking for. Followed recipe exactly and baked for 17 minutes on parchment-lined cookie sheets. Took out of oven just as soon as they no longer looked wet on top. Did not remove from the cookie sheets until completely cool. Perfect soft and chewy cookies that aren't overwhelmingly peanut butter-y. A new favorite!

I followed the recipe exactly and am very disappointed with the results. It is soft and chewy, but doesn't have much taste. Not at all like a classic peanut butter cookie. I will definitely not try it again.

EXCELLENT COOKIES!! I followed the recipe but i mixed the dough the night before a party. I used a melon scoop to drop the cookies and baked for 22 min. they do not look fully cooked at first --but they are-- let them sit for 2 min to cool. They turned out wonderful and were soooo chewy.

My children can harldy keep their hands from getting burnt on them! They ponuce on the tray as soon as I take it out of the oven. They really are good. I added extra peanut butter since we are big PB fans in this house. One thing that I did notice was that they do not bake as well on the Pampered Chef baking stones. It took far too long on the stone and they looked raw. I used the tried and true non stick cokie sheets. I know I willbe making these again soon

Oh my goodness! These are definitely yummy and chewy. I would suggest letting them rest for 1 minute on cookie sheet before removing. Mine were so soft that I sort of squished the edges of the first few by removing them too soon. Excellent recipe!

I liked this recipe, I did not make any adjustments, and it made soft and chewy cookies as promised. The portion it produced was a bit large for just my boyfriend and I; it wouldn't be terribly difficult to half though (with exception of the egg ). Chocolate chips would have been nice but there is already a good bit of fat and sugar already there.
