I made these cookies today and hoped they would come out as full and thick looking as the picture, maybe need to add a bit more flour next time. Overall it was a very good cookie. Will make again.

I am currently making these cookies as I type. First batch just came out 15 minutes ago. BEST SUGAR COOKIES EVER! They are so yummy...I've never had a sugar cookie with so much flavor...and moisture! This recipe is a keeper!

I used all butter and i think this was a huge mistake because they were so dry and they kept the same shape as they were when i caked them. horrible. i don't blame the recipe though

So I just made these cookies and they are so freaking delicious. I couldn't believe how perfect they were. I can't wait for my husband to wake up to try them. The only complaint I have it that they remained ball-like after they baked. Next time I'm going to press them down a bit. Still, this is the perfect sugar cookie.

These are super easy and tastes wonderful!!! They do not expand so you can shape it anyway you like. I baked them for only 9-10 minutes and they came out perfectly.

I'm only giving this four stars because I followed the recipe (except for doubling it for my large family), and they didn't flatten much. Next time I'll try flattening the dough a bit before baking. Otherwise they are soft and delicious.

It made 50 amazing soft sugar cookies! Mine never browned but they were done. I used Spectrum brand shortening.

I was looking for a recipe that made sugar cookies like the puffy soft ones in stores with frosting, and these ones beat those! Amazing!

WOW!!! This is a fantastic recipe!! It really does make at least 24 LARGE cookies!! The cookies are fluffy but still very moist. They're plump and really do look like the picture! I rolled them in brown sugar and it just added to the goodness!! FANTASTIC!! I will definately make these again!! Thank you so much! :)

Soft, sweet, and yummy...this is what I was looking for in a sugar cookie recipe. This one had all of those qualities, but it also had a taste of baking powder that I didn't care for. Maybe it was just me, but I found it unpleasant. If I make these again, I may reduce the amount of baking powder slightly. All in all, they are tasty, easy, pretty cookies...thanks for sharing!

These were way too salty. 2 tsp. baking powder & 1 tsp salt? I also used unsalted butter and still too salty. They were cake-like and probably good with frosting.

fantastic!!!! these cookies are alot like the sugar cookies my grandmother made when i was a kid.(long time ago) first time i made them didn't change a thing..second time--divided the dough in half-left half untouched-the other half added 1 tsp. almond extract and dipped them in coconut-baked them in upper- half of the oven to prevent the coconut from burning. will continue to make these wonderful cookies!!! i also found that this recipe doubles easily...

These were some of the best sugar cookies I've ever made! We didn't have any shortening on hand so we just substituted it for more butter. Thanks for the great recipe!

These are so yummy! Nice soft and sweet but not too sweet! I followed all the suggestions, creamed butter, shortening and sugar very well before adding eggs. Then chilled the cookie dough before balling. This recipe is a keeper!
