My family loves these and they are quick and easy to make. They also are very good if you substitute graham crackers for the soda crackers. I top the chocolate with a mixture of nuts and holiday colored sprinkles and they look great.

These were delicious. We made them to go in a goodie box for grandparents for Valentines day and they were a huge hit. I never would have thought saltines and candy went together.

Just tried this recipe tonight. Very quick to put together. I used milk chocolate/peanut butter chips and chopped peanuts. I think this would be good with a lot of different flavors of chips and nuts. A definite keeper for me.

This is a quick and easy recipe for the cook/baker and an is generally the first to be sampled and eaten from the dessert table. This is a luscious treat that I am always forwarding the recipe for.

I saw this recipe on show on the Food Network, can't remember which chef though. I've made it a time or two, but the version I made didn't contain nuts. Definitely a yummy treat.

The caramel for these is AMAZING, I will definitely use this recipe again and possibly just the caramel for other recipes. I hadn't heard of this before so I was a bit suspicious but I love sweet and salty together so I gave them a try. I'm glad I did - wonderful chewy crunchy buttery treat.

SOOOO YUMMY! I had to try this recipe- my grandma used to make these and my dad failed miserably at his attempt to recreate them SO, after finding this recipe our problems are solved! A couple things to make your life easier: a 10 x 15 pan is just a regular sized cookie sheet (just make sure it has a rim of course). Also, you don't need to measure out the chocolate chips- 1 1/2 cups is equal to one 12 oz bag. For a more aesthetically pleasing candy, don't add the walnuts until after the chips have been melted and spread out. Sprinkle them on and press them in while they are still warm so that they will look like the picture, OR, go ahead and mix them in (which is what I did) and sprinkle toffee bits on top. Delicious!

Really good - just like Momma makes it! Be careful though - the first time I made it I overcooked the butter and suagr mixture. It tasted normal, but the texture was a bit off. Otherwise, no problems! Thanks!

I got this recipe from my mother & have been making it for years, but without the nuts - nice touch! When I take the cookie sheet from the oven, I sprinkle the chocolate chips on top & ever so gently (while they melt)spread the chocolate around with the back of a large serving spoon. You have to be careful not to move the crackers. Then I put them into the refrigerator to cool & harden, about an hour. I then break them up into pieces, like peanut brittle. I keep them in a cookie tin either in a cold garage or the frig. My family loves these!
