The kids and I made these a few years ago. They were cute and easy. Even my youngest (then 3), was able to help. Truthfully, they aren't the best tastingcookie out there, but they are a great family activity. The frosting and candy corn, combined with the sweet storebought dough, make an intensely sweet cookie. We may try these again this year, but I'll top them with royal icing instead. The royal icing will harden to make the cookies easier to stack and to hold the decorations more securely. If you're not crazy about the taste of red hots on cookies, try mini chocolate chips or mini M&M baking bits instead.

Very cute. We made these for my daughter's snowman themed birthday party. My daughters loved helping me decorate them and all the kids loved eating them! To save time, I bought the ready to bake sugar cookies that are already in circles, and we used store-bought white icing. Also, for some of the cookies we used the pull apart string twizzlers and made a small smile instead of the red dots. They were cute and tasted better to the kids. Thanks for a great recipe!

Alright, there is something I need to warn everyone who makes this recipe about: If you want cute cookies in less time, use store bought dough, but if you want good cookies that taste homemade, DO NOT use that store bought stuff! I tried these cookies on one of the hottest days of the year with my children, in the hopes to get them thinking about winter and to stop complaining, and even they noticed a difference in taste! The next time I make these, I will use the Simple Sugar Cookie recipe in place of the pre-made dough. Hopefully, it will work, and my family will be able to enjoy these lovely cookies! Thanks!
