Have not tried, but gave it the full rating, because I LOVE Southern sweet tea--McDonald's is wonderful to me!!!! Also the glass pitcher thing is NOT a good idea until the tea has cooled. Experienced a shattered and destroyed pitcher--NOT good!!! Now, I don't have a problem with getting bitter tea as so many reviewers have said. I use a cup and a quarter of sugar, 7-8 small tea bags, and cover with water. Bring to a boil and turn off burner. Let steep for up to three hours. Then pour into a gallon pitcher and add cold water or ice to fill pitcher. Add about a fourth of a cup of lemon juice and stir to blend. Absolutely delicious--and it's not bitter at all! Will have to incorporate the baking soda into my recipe now and see what that does.
