My husband and I had this appetizer at a party and really liked it, so I was delighted to find the recipe. I could find only the cheese-filled lil' smokies at the store, but they were great. We did not measure the brown sugar, just sprinkled it on to taste. This dish was the hit of our party and disappeared quickly! It's incredibly unhealthy, but oh so yummy!

WOWWIE! i cut the bacon in half both ways (length and width) and each piece was still big enough to fully wrap the little hog dogs. i coated the bacon with brown sugar on both sides before wrapping - and i used pork lil' smokies. will definitely be making these again!! and again!!

Wow. Easy, tasty, and double the recipe because they will disappear fast. Dredged in brown sugar and secured with a toothpick. Did not change the cook time at all, even when I used thick cut bacon on my second batch-all we had left in the house was thick cut maple flavored bacon...yummy. Easy enough to have my 8 and 9 year old nieces help. A definite keeper

The taste was delicious, ony I have to rate this 4 stars instead of 5 - because the cook time was off. I had to cook an additional 20 minutes on 425 to get the bacon done enough. Other than that though, tasty and easy. Thanks for the recipe.

Made these tonight and they pretty much went like hotcakes. I have never had Lil' Smokies, so I wasn't sure if I was to use beef or pork. My husband suggested to get the beef. I might have preferred pork.

Tremendous. We took these to a Christmas dinner party and they were devoured in no time. Cooking them on bamboo skewers makes them easier to handle.

These were great and a huge hit at a party I had. Next time I will make more! Note: After I wrapped the bacon around the sausage, I skewered it with a toothpick and cooked them that way. That way, when you serve them, they are easier for people to pick up and eat.

This was very good, but the next time I make these little wraps, I am going to pour either bbq sauce or plain ketchup over the top along with the brown sugar.

Wonderful cold weather appetizer! I have served these warmed up at three parties--got several requests for the recipe at each one. I use 1/3 strip of bacon, bake them for about 45-50 min. and then broil for a few minutes to crisp up the bacon (turning once). For one batch, I ran out of brown sugar and used 3/4 cup white sugar and then drizzled lightly with maple flavored pancake syrup--also well received. These would also be a great Super Bowl snack.

These are addictive! I have made these for several parties and each time I have multiple recipe requests. The only change I make is to dredge the bacon slices in brown sugar before wrapping sausage. Great recipe!!!

Made these last night for snacks while trick or treating, I LOVE THESE!!!I am trying to decide if I can make another batch right now, they went too fast last night with all the guests over, everyone loved them, wonderful! I cut my bacon pieces into fourths and slightly strech them if they aren't quite long enough, that way they go farther. I put them in the crockpot to keep warm after baking in the oven, works great!
