Add a slice of pepperoni! My neighbors make these for every party and they are a HUGE hit...Recently, they started adding a slice of pepperoni under the bacon--DELICIOUS!

Easy and SO good! I cut the bacon into thirds rather than halves and it made it so there were exactly enough pieces of bacon to cover one pound of smokies.

These are always a crow pleaser whenever I serve them. I usually broil these for about 5 minutes so the bacon gets nice and crispy.

Wow. Pork-wrapped pork! Watch out, arteries! These are delicious and everyone raved at our Christmas gathering. I rolled each smoky in 1/3 slice of bacon, then rolled through the sugar. Be careful not to overcook--the sugar can go from gooey to charred quickly!

I wish I could give these 10 stars! They flew off the plate. I didn't have enough bacon and only made about 30 of these. Next time must have more bacon! Wrapped 1/2 slice and secured with toothpicks. Baked on a broiler pan greased on the rack and the bottom lined with foil for easier clean up. I just dumped brown sugar on didn't measure. Accidentally cooked these for a about 1/2 hr-45 mins. Amazing because the bacon was nice and crisp. Served with the sauce on this site-mixture of brown sugar, mayo and bbq sauce. Some liked with sauce, others without.

Wonderful! I had these last year & got the recipe from a friend who sent me here to find it. I cut the bacon in thirds, wrap it & secure it with a toothpick then bake.

My husband and I had this appetizer at a party and really liked it, so I was delighted to find the recipe. I could find only the cheese-filled lil' smokies at the store, but they were great. We did not measure the brown sugar, just sprinkled it on to taste. This dish was the hit of our party and disappeared quickly! It's incredibly unhealthy, but oh so yummy!

WOWWIE! i cut the bacon in half both ways (length and width) and each piece was still big enough to fully wrap the little hog dogs. i coated the bacon with brown sugar on both sides before wrapping - and i used pork lil' smokies. will definitely be making these again!! and again!!

Wow. Easy, tasty, and double the recipe because they will disappear fast. Dredged in brown sugar and secured with a toothpick. Did not change the cook time at all, even when I used thick cut bacon on my second batch-all we had left in the house was thick cut maple flavored bacon...yummy. Easy enough to have my 8 and 9 year old nieces help. A definite keeper

The taste was delicious, ony I have to rate this 4 stars instead of 5 - because the cook time was off. I had to cook an additional 20 minutes on 425 to get the bacon done enough. Other than that though, tasty and easy. Thanks for the recipe.

Made these tonight and they pretty much went like hotcakes. I have never had Lil' Smokies, so I wasn't sure if I was to use beef or pork. My husband suggested to get the beef. I might have preferred pork.

These were great and a huge hit at a party I had. Next time I will make more! Note: After I wrapped the bacon around the sausage, I skewered it with a toothpick and cooked them that way. That way, when you serve them, they are easier for people to pick up and eat.
