I didn't cook this in a slow cooker but instead just did it all on the stove top. It was SUPER easy and very yummy. My 3 year old even asked for it for lunch the next day.

Subbed the tomato sauce for a can of tomato paste. Makes it less soupy and more chili like. It's delish!

Ok, but not great. One packet of taco seasoning isn't enough for that large portion of soup.

Quite good though it was quite a bit more like Cili than soup. 1 pcket of taco seasoning wasn't enough to give it that taco flavor, next time I'll try two. So the recipe as it is falls a bit short as Taco Soup, but made a pretty tasty Chili.

Sooo good and even better the following day. Used the chicken broth suggestion. 2 large breasts seemed enough.

I made this almost the way it is said to but did make a few changes. (1) I cant stand kidney beans so i used a can of refried beans. (2) I only use one can of diced tomatos instead of two. (3) I did not use the can of green chile peppers but did use a can of enchilada sauce. I also took flour tortillas and cooked then right on top of the burner then cut them like you would a pizza instead of crackers. IT TURNED OUT GREAT!!! I hope this helps anyone that thinks it taste like chili.
