I followed this recipe almost exactly and it was delicious! The only differences: I used elk round, didn't have celery, cut sugar in half, and I added a half a tomato can of water with a little beef bullion because I wanted more sauce. Also, I threw the veggies in raw (sliced baby carrots and sliced onions into rings), and I thought they turned out perfect. The meat was super tender...fell apart when it was forked. I served with mashed potatoes, and hubby and I scarfed it down. My four-year-old twins weren't fans, but that is typical (they are super picky!). I will definitely make this again in the near future.
