I cut this recipe in half, given that some reviews were not great. Yet it sounded so good I wanted to try for myself! I followed other users advice--used sweet BBQ sauce and added carrots, and also added some cornstarch for thickening in the last 30 minutes, and only cooked it for about 7 hours. It was OK. I did have leftovers and served those with soy sauce, which I think made it taste better, but nothing I'll run out to try again.
