boneless pork shoulder roast, trimmed and cut into 1-inch pieces
red or green bell peppers, chopped
1 (15.25 ounce) can
Del Monte® Fruit Cocktail
Hot cooked rice
Toasted sesame seeds, if desired
Awesome! I substituted chicken thighs for the pork, pineapple for the cocktail, and added some halved grape tomatoes at the end. The sauce need some thickening, so added a couple teaspoons of arrow root (Corn starch would work too). Served over Brown rice and can't wait for leftovers tomorrow night.
Not bad, but not quite what I was expecting flavour-wise. Did try to thicken it up but sauce was still runny.
This was a super hit. Everyone in my family loved it. I did use only 1 green pepper instead of 2. My family likes bell peppers only in moderation ;-). I also did not add the bell pepper and drained fruit cocktail until last 30 minute as well as tad bit of water as the juice from the fruit cocktail can was not quite enough "sauce". Great taste and so easy!
We used these ingredients but cooked in a Wok. 20 minutes later and my family was eating and happy.
I had 2Lbs of a pork shoulder left, I had to use it, this seemed like a good choice. It was! It was flavorful and super tender. Unfortunately I'm the only person who would eat it, my daughter snubbed it once she saw the peppers, and the wife didn't want it because of the fruit. I followed the recipe exactly, however I did add some pineapple chunks, because I like them. I don't think that added or took away from my rating, just a personal touch I wanted to add.
Awesome. Awesome. Awesome!!!
Very good. I didn't have the fruit cocktail, so instead added a can of chunk pineapple. For color, I used one of each pepper, red and green. We served this over brown rice and the entire family enjoyed it, even my 2- and 4-year-old sons! Will make again.
