I don't what happened, but my stuffing turned out gray--very unappetizing. But it still tasted okay although not great.

I've tried this recipe twice now, each with decreasing amounts of water and it still turns out too soggy. It's such a great idea - stuffing made in a slow cooker, but this recipe doesn't get me there. Sorry.

This is great recipe. I have also made it with only 1/3 cup of butter and it worked out just fine with brown bread. I do not like it with white bread since I think it is a gooey mess (but that is just my opinion of white bread).

Easy and good. I added a little juice from the turkey at the end of cooking. Mine only cooked on low for 1 hour past the first 45 on high. Keep checking depending on your slow cooker

This stuffing was really good and easy. I used one bag of seasoned stuffing and also seasoned it with the ingredients listed. Next time, i will omit the salt when using seasoned stuffing bread crumbs. Inspite of this it was still good.

I agree with others that 4.5 cups of broth seems like a misprint. I used 2 cups. I loved it - very good and so much easier to deal with on Thanksgiving Day.

This is a keeper. I was so nervous about this since it was my first time cooking a holiday dinner for the whole family, but this was wonderful. I started with 2 cups of broth and added 1 more cup while it was in the crockpot. I also only used 1 egg and left my lid off the last 30 minutes. I will never bake stuffing again!

I made this recipe for Christmas dinner. It was a last minute decision so I ended up baking it in the oven at 350 for 40min. I used just enough broth to moisten the bread (I used half french bread half wheat bread). The texture was fluffy and just the right amount of moisture. (I don't like mushy stuffing.) This stuffing is the best! Thank you Gayle for the great recipe. Next time I will try making it in the crockpot.

I made this twice before Thanksgiving to make sure it came out ok with the whole broth issue that I read in reviews...let me tell you, this stuffing is out of this world! I used a bag of the already cubed bread cubes that are dried out, so the broth was the right amount. I'm not a huge fan of celery in my stuffing, but it is the perfect amount. This recipe is a real winner! This is my official stuffing recipe that I'm using from now on! thank you!

Great recipe if you are dealing with kitchen/cooking and timing conflict... perfect example: Thanksgiving - something in the oven, stovetop full, etc. Tastes fabulous. The mushrooms really add to it. I want to make it again.

I don't like stuffing. I made this because my husband likes stuffing. I ended up actually having seconds of this stuff! Changes made... first we halved the recipe, and for the chicken broth we only used about a cup.

I followed the directions for making it in the oven and cut the recipe in half. It had good flavor, but there was WAY too much butter for the sauteing part and that ruined it for me. I should have just eyeballed the butter like I normally would with sauteing. Next time I will not add so much butter on that step and try it in the crockpot.

The flavor of this is amazing. I had to stop myself from eating it right after I mixed everything together. It did seem to be a little soggy, so I took the lid off and let it cook. It will definitely be my standard stuffing recipe from now on.

It was good, but I over cooked it somehow. The edges were burnt. It had a good taste though. Will make again but will really watch it.

Best stuffing I've had at Thanksgiving. I put a little to much broth in but the last hour I left the lid off the crockpot and it turned out great.
