Great recipe! I did substitute worcestershire sauce for the soy sauce and I cooked it for about 18 hours. Makes LOTS of yummy gravy and the meat is very tender. Thanks so much for posting!

Super easy! I put my roast in frozen and it was terrific after 18 hours. Sauce made a great gravy. Will make this again and again.

This was excellent. I used low sodium soy sauce and dry onion soup mix and it was not salty at all. I cooked the meat for 18 hours on low and it was very very tender. Great receipe, will make again

Very simple to make, I used low sodium onion soup mix and regular soy sauce, turned out very good in about 7 hours on low setting.

This was really good. I made a few changes though. I used low sodium soy sauce and dry onion mushroom soup mix and it was not salty at all. The beef does not need to be in the slow cook for 22 hours. That is way too long. I put mine on high in the slow cooker and it was done in about 4-5 hours and was really tender and juicy.

This was WAY too salty. Meat was tender, but the combination of soy sauce AND dry onion soup mix should be a red flag to anyone. Use low salt soy sauce and onion soup mix if you use this recipe.

Well I started cooking this last night at midnight, at 2:30 this afternoon it was beyond done and all the juices soaked up. So I added more, and just let it stay warm until dinner. It definitely does not need to be cooked that long if it is fresh meat, and the flavor was a little bland. Its a good base, but it needs a little doctoring up. My husband said he loved it, but I'm not sure if he was just trying to make me feel better considering it's the first meal I've cooked in our new home. My 2 year old didn't really care for it either.

Wonderful roast, and really, really easy!! The only complaint that I have about this recipe is that it came out a little salty. I never even salt my food, so I may just be overly sensitive to it. I added veggies for the last couple hours of cooking, and that made it a meal. The roast fell apart as I was taking it out (just they way I like it!). My husband woke up at 2am wanting dinner right then, the house smelled so good! I passed this recipe on to my mom the next day, and she made it using red wine instead of soy sauce, and she loved it. I'm going to try it her way next time just for another option. Thanks for the great, easy recipe!

How can something so easy be soooo good?!! I only needed to cook it for 10 hours. It was so tender that I couldn't slice it. It just fell apart. The next day I took the leftover roast and gravy and mixed it with cooked No yolks noodles and it made another great meal! No more dry boring roasts in this house! Thanks

while the meat was amazingly tender it was also very salty. Verging on inediblly salty. I think next time I will sub low sodium soy sauce and perhaps dried onion with low salt boullion. It definitely has potential
