This recipe was perfect for 17 people on Thanksgiving, and it was a big hit. I made them one day ahead, but forgot to put them in the crockpot in time to heat up before dinner. So I microwaved them out of necessity, and then put them into the crockpot on high. Still great. I used half red and half russet potatoes with skin on. Excellent.

LOVED being able to stick these in the crock pot and forget about them for a while, but thought they were a bit heavy. I'll probably try them again and use Yukon gold potatoes. The flavor was good (you'll need lots of salt and pepper for five pounds of potatoes!).

The cream cheese was a little hard to mix in, even though I had it at room temperature. My guests loved this dish more than I did...I felt it was too dense and not fluffy enough. Also, I only added about 2/3 of the amount of cream cheese. If I make this recipe again, I'll probably use Yukon gold potatoes.

I thought this was really good. I made it for Thanksgiving and everyone commented that they were the best mashed potatoes they ever ate! I couldn't figure out why they were so good, but I think the garlic and the broth were the key. Also, I didn't peel my potatoes, so that gave them some extra color and flavor. I only used a little butter, dotted over the top of the potatoes in the crock pot, but otherwise followed the recipe. Thanks!

These turned out great! I didn't need to add much butter, and I surprised my mother-in-law, who didn't think people would like them with sour cream and cream cheese. They did! The flavor is so mild from the sour cream, and no flavor from the cream cheese. They were just nice and creamy, and best of all done in advance to free up space in the kitchen to make the last minute dishes for Thanksgiving. I plan on using this for all the big holiday get togethers in the future. Thanks for the recipe!

These really were very tasty. The best part was being able to get them in the crockpot dish the night before and just having them over in the corner on Thanksgiving day not needing stove or oven space. I'll be making these every holiday now. Thanks for sharing!

I love this recipe because it gets the potatoes out of the way. I make them the night before and just set the crock pot bowl in the refrig. Next day take them out put them in the crock and your done. don't have to worry about making room on the stove or oven. Just stir them up alittle very now and then and they are piping hot to serve.

These are amazing potatoes! For the first time ever I have opted to not put gravy on them, it would take away from them. I did not have red potatoes on hand so I just used the regular kind (even though I prefer red and they are very different from the normal potato). I slow cooked them in my Crock Pot for two hours on low but noticed that they were getting scorched on the sides so I had to turn it off completely (my pot does not have a warm setting). I really am not sure why they need to cook in a slow cooker except to get them piping hot so next time an hour in the cooker should be plenty of time. These are out of this world, I will never cook a potato any other way! Thank you for sharing this recipe with us.

I believe I used to much water and that it might have dilluted the bouillon and garlic flavor a bit. I did make them pretty close to how the recipe has suggested and people really enjoyed them. I used everything Organic (russet potatoes, butter, sour cream and so on) accept the cream cheese and I was pleased. This was my very first time to make mashed potatoes and I must say that it seemed I was making a mountain out of a mole hill because they were super simple to make.

This recipe was just ok for me. I usually get the same results without the slow cooker. I really didn't taste a difference with the slow cooker, except alot of extra cooking time.

These turned out fantastically for Thanksgiving! I hosted this year at 8 mos. pregnant and had our sides in 3 slow cookers. This recipe was in one of them. At first the family was a little dubious, but everyone loved them! Thanks for this great recipe for someone who needed to take things more slowly this year. :) Oh, and they turn into FANTASTIC potato soup with a little leftover half and half, leeks, and chicken broth.

We really enjoyed this recipe although, I did not make it in the slow cooker. I boiled the potatoes and mashed them right away. I also added shredded Cheddar Cheese when I mixed the potatoes. It turned out quite tasty.

These are the best mashed potatoes. I have always made them this way but this was the first time putting them in the crockpot. I too used the cloth under the lid and had to turn to crock down to warm. Everyone was truly amazed how good they were. I know it was because they were hot, and stayed hot for seconds. I only added about 4 T of butter, used FF sour cream and FF cream cheese and they were perfect.

These were delicious, but the best part was I threw them in the crock pot and forgot about them! They tasted every bit as good as my famous garlic mashed potatoes, but 10 times easier to make. I wish I could give this a 10!
