I thought this recipe was alright. I followed some of the other reviewers' directions and it still turned out dry. It also needed a little more flavor, or something to kick it up a bit. Maybe if I try making it again, I will cut the chicken into smaller pieces.

I make a recipe identical to this only with a few of my own modifications. I use more water and I also put slices of butter on top of my chicken while it cooking. I also prefer chicken thighs to breasts. They turn out more moist and flavorful. This a wonderful dish and a favorite in our house! :)

Yum! Yum! Yum! We did make the following alterations: used garlic salt instead of salt, doubled the lemon juice, put in 2 cups of water and 2 chicken bouillon cubes, and used a pinch of dried parsley instead of the fresh. If you don't use more water, it will dry out...and you need to adjust the lemon juice and bouillon accordingly. We had it with Uncle Ben's brown and wild rice medley and green beans. I will definitely make this one many more times!!

I made this with frozen chicken tenders instead and added some frozen whole green beans near the end of cooking time. Pretty good, will probably make this one again.

I prepared this dish with the "extra sauce" modification recommended by other foodies. My family fairly swooned for it. Even my 8 year old son, who is reluctant to try new things ate his entire portion. This one is definitely a keeper.

Did a few things others suggested. Did not brown, just put all the makings (except the chicken) into a pot and brought it to a boil then poured it over the raw chicken in the slow cooker. Also replaced water with 1 cup chicken broth and added 1/4 cup white wine - doubled lemon juice, garlic, and chicken bouillon granules. Cut cooking time to 4 hours on low. Had plenty of liquid, the chicken was very tasty and moist. Will definitely make again!!

Not a huge fan of this. It needed something. I did overcook my chicken so it was really dry. That didn't help. I would not make this again.

This recipe has a good flavor but way too dry. I doubled the sauce and cooked it on low for 4 hours. Next time I'll try 2 1/2 or 3 hours.

This is the hardest review I've written. 3 stars for taste. I thought it was a little too mild (I love flavor!). And 6 hours was definitely too long! In order to make it 5 starts, you would basically need to double the sauce but add more garlic/lemon and possibly some seasoning to the chicken. (And I used lemon pepper seasoning as well!). However, the recipe deserves 5 stars solely becuase it is not a "cream of" recipe, it uses the wonderfully easy crock pot, and I feel healthy eating it. This recipe has fantastic potential.

Great taste, but definitely needs more sauce as the garlic started to burn on the bottom of the slow cooker. I had to add more chicken stock halfway through.

I make this recipe once or twice a month, my husband and I both love it. I decreased the lemon juice a little bit and just added some more water to suit our taste.

Easy, fast and delicious! I used about 1/4 cup of lemon juice though and doubled the water. I also only used 1 lb of chicken instead of 2, and the liquid covered all the chicken so it didn't dry out at all. I think chicken tenders work better than chicken breasts because they maintain more flavor. Great served over white rice.

Okay. A little dry. Make sure to brine the chicken first so it won't be do dry. and make the chicken thinner so you don't have to cook it as long so it won't dry out easier.
