Very lemony since I added a whole lotta lemon juice. Mike liked it, it was okay over brown rice

I made this chicken using 3 lbs of chicken breast and 2 of thighs. I upped the lemon to the juice of 3 lemons(each lemon contains approximately 4 tbsp)and added a whole bulb of garlic to the crock pot. I served it with rigatti pasta, which soaked the wonderful sauce up perfectly. All of my family and friends LOVED this dish. Thank you for sharing this one!

I also doubled the sauce recipe as per other reviews... I thought is was good- but I was hoping the chicken would take on more of the flavors (like the lemon) than it did. Would make again.

This was delicious! I followed a lot of the other reviewers suggestions. I find on this site I tend to use cooking recipes (not baking) as a base recipe. I doulbed all the liquids and added 1 cup of white semi sweet wine. It was amazing! I also used bone in skin on chicken breasts to add flavor and took the skin off when it was done. I tried to fork one to check for doneness and it fell apart in the juices! It was amazing and I will definitely make it again! Thanks for the great post

We'll definitely make this again. It's so simple and very tasty! The meat was extremely tender and juicy. I used lemon pepper and white wine (Pinot Grigio) as others have. I too had to add more liquid than the recipe called for; just put in more water, lemon juice, & wine from the start.

This wasn't as good as I was hoping. The chicken did not seem to take on the flavor of the sauce and it was a little dry. I reduced the cooking time by about 2 hours and it was still dry. Perhaps if you marinate the chicken it would be better.

This recipe makes fantastic chicken! The first time I made it I used chicken quarters which definitely turned out more moist than another time when I used boneless skinless chicken breasts. Lots of flavor and tender, delicious chicken. I used the juices to make a simple gravy with a unique lemon flavor. Definitely a keeper! Great recipe for fall and winter.

Love this recipe and it's now a staple in my home. I like to use lots of oregano and slightly brown in a pan first. Sometimes I double the sauce part for lots of flavor. I always serve with rice - delish!

This did not turn out well. I doubled the sauce as recommended by several other reviewers otherwise, I made it as written. It was very bland. The chicken didn't take on the flavor of the sauce and the chicken was dry. I will not be making this one again.

Everyone in my family disliked this meal. I reduced the amount of cooking by alot. I cooked it for only 2.5 hours in the slow cooker and the chicken was still incredibly dry. The oregano overpowered the chicken . Will not make again.

This recipe is fantastic. I throw everything in the crockpot and check it periodically. I double the butter and garlic and add more broth as needed. I'm careful with the lemon because I can always add more. I serve with mashed potatoes and a green veggie. Excellent!!!

I've made this so many times and it's always delicious. I would suggest doubling the sauce or adding more boullion and water to keep the chicken a little more moist while cooking. Also, about half way through cooking, I cut the chicken breasts into pieces so that they soak up a little more sauce. Great recipe...thanks!

Sorry, but I did not care for this ! Maybe I used to much oregano, but that was all I tasted. This recipe has made me kind of scared to try anything else with oregano in it. I used ground oregano, maybe I did something wrong :(

This had amazing lemon flavor. Added lemon pepper with the herbs over the chicken before browning. Juiced one lemon and threw the rest in the liquid. Used one can of chicken broth to cover the chicken and a few splashes of white wine. Chicken came out very moist, falling apart after 5 hours. Thickened up the liquid with a little corn starch. Served over rice with broc/caul casserole (from this site) and some honey oat bread (also from this site). It was the best meal I have made in awhile. Definitely going to add this to my favorites.

This is an excellent recipe. i created an acct just so i could write a review for it. although I added a little extra spice. i also use limes instead of lemons and today when I am making it i am going to double the recipe so I will use one squeezed lime and I am going to slice another to put on top of the chicken in the crock pot. I wonder how it will turn out, I guess ill know in 6 hours. nonetheless excellent recipe!
