decent flavor but the chicken was stringy and dry. I find that happens often with chicken in the crock pot

It was good but not the best. Personally I think it lacked some flavor. I think next time I'll thicken the juices from crock pot then serve it over noodles or something. I had to triple the liquids to get it to cover the chicken in the crock pot...

I did this recipe exactly as directed except I added a 1 or 2 complimentary spices. I slow cooked it 3hrs at 200 degrees. Loved it!

I deleted this from my recipe box...left a bitter taste in my mouth that wouldn't go away for a couple of hours. Not good!

This is a fabulous recipe. We had it the other night for dinner. As other readers have suggested, I used one can of chicken broth and chicken thighs. At the end, I thickened the sauce with a little flour and served it over Dreamfields penne rigate since my husband is a diabetic. After I rubbed the seasoning mixture into the chicken, I let it set for about 1/2 hour in the refrig. We will have this recipe often!!!

Didn't really care for this recipe. The chicken came out tough and quite tasteless. I could only taste sour lemon.

My husband & I both loved this. It was simple enough for even me to make. I added a full cup of water like suggested by others. And I didnt have any bouillon so I used 2 packets from chicken Raman noodles. I added lemon pepper and Montreal Chicken seasoning (by McCormic) to the rub. And added more lemon then called for & next time will add even more. My perfect cook time for was 2 1/2hrs on low. The chicken came out juicy & flavorful.

I made this before I read any reviews. The chicken needed much more liquid to keep from drying out in the cooker. I used water with the chicken bouillon. Also it was done in 3 hours on low. It was very tasty and we used the left overs in stir fry the next night.

I have made this recipe twice. The first time, I made it as directed, except, I used canned chicken stock and juice of 1& 1/2 lemons (didn't measure the amount of juice). I added everything to the slow cooker- and I thought the chicken was a bit dried out- but with good flavor. The sauce did NOT cover all the chicken- that's why I think it dried out. Then last night I made the recipe again...but rather than putting it all into the slow cooker, I removed the browned chicken from the fry pan, then added the liquid ingredients to the fry pan to deglaze, and then returned the chicken to the original fry pan, covered it, reduced the heat, and let it all simmer until the chicken was cooked through. Once the chicken was cooked all through (about 20 minutes), I again removed the chicken to a serving dish, and then added a bit of corn starch to thicken the sauce. I tasted it- it was a bit strong- so I added a bit of water to dilute. I poured the sauce over the chicken and served with broccoli and rice. Totally gone! Now, not THE VERY BEST- but very quick, easy, and the gang ate it up! I will definately make again...just without the slow cooker!

Followed suggestions of doubling liquid. Great idea as this sauce is wow! Also cooked on low, this helps keep the chicken moist. Another tip for slow cooking is not to open the cover too much during cooking as the steam, moisture inside will come out. This is what cooks and keeps meats moist in a slow cooker. This is not a dish that adapts well to all-day cooking but I think it is a great last minute idea (3-4 hours on LOW is perfect). Thanks!

I followed this recipe the entire way yet was disappointed in the results. Although I took other reviewers suggestions to add more liquid to the recipe (I doubled it), my chicken was still much too dry and it was in the slow cooker for less than two hours.

I thought this recipe was good, but the chicken ended up being a lil drier than I would have liked, so maybe a lil less time in the cooker or more liquid to cover it. Overall I thought the flavor was pretty tasty.

Good. More work than it's worth though. Seems like you would get the same results in a skillet much quicker! Won't use this method again.
