Well, I had high hopes but this didn't fit the bill for us. It was dry, had an odd texture, burned on the edges but pasta was not done in the middle, and just an ok taste. I really wanted it to turn out better, although I have to say I'm glad I at least tried it.

I'm giving this recipe 5 Stars because I have always been intimidated to make lasagna for some reason. This is really a fool proof recipe. It's very forgiving and delicious. I followed the instructions of a previous reviewer who suggested adding equal parts of water to your sauce. If you don't do this it will burn for sure. I put the lasagna together the day before and put it in the crockpot the following day. My lasagna only took about 4 hours on high. You can really custom make this to your own preference. Adding various vegetables or different types of meats such as ground turkey, sausage, etc. This recipe made a ton for me. My crockpot is very big and I have enough leftovers for 6-8 people ! Thanks for sharing

I am skeptical of slow cooker pasta dishes, but I decided to try it and I glad I did. My kids and mother in law all loved it. I will definitely make it again! I did not use the tomato paste, but 6 more ounces of sauce and I did not double layer the noodles, and the consistency was perfect.

This was a great recipe. As all slow cookers are different, it's important to keep an eye on this the first time you make it. Make sure that your meat sauce is runnier (almost twice as runny) than you would normally make for a conventional lasagne and you won't go wrong.

This is a great easy recipe. I was always intimidated by the steps it took to make Lasagna. Well that is not the case anymore.

This recipe was okay, but make sure you put the sauce as the final layer or the top layer of noodles will be quite crunchy!

this was better than any oven-baked lasagna i have tasted. everything stayed so moist. a few adjustments (hey, everyone's doing it) No Salt! Extra Sauce! Whip 1 or 2 eggs into the cheese blend to make it easier to spread. And make sure every noodle is covered with sauce, or it will dry out. Will definitely make again! Maybe sausage?

In response to Urbanjogurl: It may only take 2 hrs for the oven version. However, I get home at 6:30pm still have to do housework, help with homework etc...preparing a 2 hr meal to eat by 9pm is out of the question. Kudos to you if you have all the time in the world to cook for your family. Something like this is perfect for me and dinner is ready to be served ASAP when I get home! Make it your own by tweaking it a bit. This recipe is awesome!!

We really liked this. I subsituted the cottage for ricotta. The only problem I had was that it was a little greasy.

I tweaked the recipe to the extent that I'm not really sure I followed the recipe :) I always make my own sauce, so I didn't follow that part of the recipe, and I used ricotta cheese instead of cottage cheese. I also didn't pre-mix the cheese or even measure it out - consequently, it's my own fault that there wasn't enough cheese in it! I cooked it on low for about four hours and then switched it to warm - two hours later it looked charred but wasn't any more than a bit brown around the edges! I used regular noodles, and they turned out just great. I'll be tweaking the version of the recipe that I used this round, but I'll DEFINITELY be making it again!

This was okay. My problem is that I let it cook all day on low while at work. 11 hrs. Way too overcooked. Family ate some.

It was okay but did taste a little bland. After about 3 hours you have to watch it b/c at 4 hrs the cheese started to be burnt around the edges. Maybe next time I make this I will make some improvisions.

This was good, but the time in the crock pot was too long. I would say four hours at most for this one. Worth another try. Everyone liked it once I removed the top layer which was hard and crusty and overcooked.

This lasagna is the best I've ever had!! It even beats my Mom's old recipe made from scratch. I was a little skeptical at first about whether the noodles would cook enough in this recipe. The only changes I made were to add about half a can (about 14 oz) of water to the meat/sauce mixture and I did add about 2 Tbsp of sugar. My husband raved about this dish and was so excited today to be taking the leftovers for lunch! I will definitely be making this one again!

I made two batches and cooked one in the crock pot and the other in the oven. The crock pot noodles were way too mushy and pasty. I added extra water as some suggested and cooked on low for less time but it turned out wrong and I blame the crock pot method. The oven cooked recipe worked fine and the noodles had their "normal" consistency.

I made this last night, tastes just like lasagna that you make in a pan, only not in uniform size. I used tomato basil sauce and found I did not have tomato sauce or paste so used diced tomato's instead. Very easy and good, will make again.

The pasta is really mushy. Much better to cook lasagna the old fashioned way. It also needs some seasonings. A shake of Italian season (about a tsp. and a half or more to your taste) or some oregano, basil, rosemary. Something to perk it up. Pasta should be cooked "to the teeth or bite." Not raw, of course, but definitely not mushy.
