Slow Cooker Fruit Cobbler

"This easy dessert is always a hit in my house. It is especially good for entertaining; your guests think you slaved away baking when all you did was throw a few simple ingredients into the slow cooker! My favorite fruit mixture is peach/berry but any fruit your family loves will work. Serve hot with a scoop of vanilla ice cream."

Directions

  1. Lightly spray the slow cooker with cooking spray. Mix peaches and berries together in the slow cooker; sprinkle with cornstarch and toss to coat.
  2. Stir vanilla into berry mixture; add brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Pour cake mix over berry mixture and drizzle with melted butter.
  3. Cook in the slow cooker set to High until bubbling, 3 to 3 1/2 hours.

I had company coming for dinner and don't want to go to the store. I had 5 cups of frozen, unsweetened sliced peaches (fresh from the farm last summer) so I didn't use berries. It was wonderful and so easy! Will be making this again and again!

it says set to high until bubbling do you then set to low for 3 to 3 1/2 hours or leave it on high

This is so easy and so good! I bought some frozen mixed fruit that had peaches, strawberries and grapes in it. I also added raspberries. Made it the same way as described but did not add the brown sugar. The fruit and the cake mix made it sweet enough. It is great to have a dessert that is simple to just throw together and then forget about it!
