I love this roast. I have made it several times and it is great each time. I follow the recipe exactly. No need to make any changes. Just be sure you have some potatoes or noodles for the gravy. Yum!

Made with pork roast and it's outstanding. So simple but so good. Can't wait to try it with beef roast. Made smashed potatoes and the accompanying gravy was a winner too.

My husband said this is one of the best dinners I have ever made! However, I thought the gravy was really runny and would not have been good on mashed potatoes. I made some red potatoes with rosemary in the microwave anyway. Also, I used a 2 lb pork loin and cooked it for 7 hours. I used half the onion soup packet and 3/4 can whole cranberry sauce. It was wonderful!

Really sweet in taste! I liked it, but would have liked to add something to make it not so sweet. Maybe some wine? I took half the gravy being that it was so sweet and added it to egg noodles along with some mushrooms. This dish isn't very colorful. I would try it again, but might make some changes.

I used whole berry cranberry and the gravy was great. The roast itself was bland, so I only gave it three stars. I will use the gravy recipe for pork too, it was good.

Too sweet and the onion soup makes it too salty. I did not like this at all.

My family loved this!! I was a little unsure using cranberry sauce with a beef roast, but it was fantastic! The only thing I did different was I took the gravy and thickened it on the stove with cornstarch and water. My husband likes a thicker gravy. Great recipe!

The flavor of this roast was surprisingly excellent! I was a bit leery when I read the recipe; but so many people rated it highly that I went ahead and tried it. It was GREAT and my husband snarfed all the leftovers the next day. We will certainly make this again.

This is a great recipe. So easy and delicious. We've made it several times and have had success with elk and venison roasts, too. We often take it to potlucks and it gets devoured. No one ever guesses that the secret incredient is cranberry sauce.

Out of this WORLD! I used a pork loin roast and whole berry cranberry sauce. The gravy had a wonderful hint of sweetness that made the mashed potatoes taste even better! Hubby and kids LOVED this, even my mother, a chef, loved it. So easy and so good. Cant wait to WOW them again with this one! Thank you for sharing!

My whole family loved this recipe! I am not a fan of sweet main dishes and saw that some found this too sweet. I thought it was a very nice taste and not at all too sweet. I was tired of the same old pot roast with a chuck roast and will definitely be throwing this into the rotation. I did use 2 table spoons of cornstarch with enough water to thin it out, rather than the butter and ended up adding a cup of water to unthicken the gravy. I served as others suggested with mashed potatoes, which my husband and son generally don't each much of, but did tonight. Well worth trying!
