yummy- I forgot to add the butter but it was fine without it because I had used a box of stock instead of the water. I used bone-in breasts since that's what I had, and pulled them out and deboned them- the bones add more flavor, I think, since it was a very flavorful broth.
The only thing I added was herbs de provence patted onto the breasts before putting them in the pot.
Flattened the biscuits a bit with my palm- one can was enough-and sliced strips and added 1 ½ hours before serving.
Turned out great, I think adding veggies would detract from the rich chicken flavor. The chicken just FELL off the bones, it was simple to remove with a slotted spoon, take off all the meat and return to the pot, add the dumplings and let them cook. I cooked it total about 6 hours. Thanks, I'll be making this ALOT!
