I recommend cutting the biscuit dumplings into quarters. Before that I rolled the biscuits out a bit at pressed some rosemary into them. I also put these into the crock pot about three hours before serving - it allows the dumpling to fully cook.

This was a huge hit, even for the kids. I took the advice of others and added garlic powder, poultry seasoning, and pepper and used chicken broth instead of water.. I also added chopped carrots and peas after the chicken was cooked. The biscuits definitely need longer than 1/2 hour to cook thoroughly, I used only one container and let them cook for over an hour. Will definitely make again.

This was so easy and so good! Half way through I threw in some cut carrots. At the end I put in some frozen peas and fresh ground pepper. I only needed to use 1 package of biscuits, it was plenty. Surprised how nice they cooked all the way through fairly quickly.

Absolutely loved this recipe! I used 1 can of cream of chicken and 1 cream of celery. I used chicken broth in place of water. I added a poly bag of frozen mixed veggies when i started the chicken and they were wonderful, not mushy and didn't have the normal texture of frozen. Cooked the breasts whole then shredded when they were cooked through. This is an inexpensive, easy recipe that I'll make again and again!

i loved these chicken and dumplings . there just the way i like them my bf complained that my dumplings didn't puff out but he still had two bowls and my father had 3 i also had 2 . personnelly i prefer my dumplings this way i cant stand it when the dumplings take over the dish to me then it's just pot pie . didn't change anything but did add some peas . like i said great recipe and easy too thanks for posting
