So easy. I had my doubts. When I left for work it looked so thin and watery. I added the biscuit dough and it was like majic. Super recipe.

This is a great recipe but, to me it is more like chicken pot pie than chicken and dumplings (at least the ones my grandma makes). I normally add a bag of frozen mixed veggies about an hour before serving which makes it even more like a pot-pie. I cut the biscuits into 1/4's and drop them on top. Great for a cold night.

Everyone loved this meal. First I followed peoples reviews and didnt cover it with water i covered it with chicken stock, and also added a little poultry seasoning. The flavor wasnt to strong so i think if i had added water it would have been bland. ==Great recipe a 5 years old quote "this agood nice food can we have it tomorrow?"

WOW! Made as directed, but added 1/4 tsp each of paprika and black pepper. Had a head cold and this was like heaven on earth. The rest of the family absolutely loved it too!

Wonderful! I seasoned and slow cooked a whole chicken I let it cool and took all the meat off the bone and put back in cooker with the broth and more seasons and a bay leaf, added 1can of cream of celery, 1 can of cream chicken soup with onion saute with the butter. I slow cooked for 2hours and added 1 1/2 can of biscuit dough each cut into 4 pieces continue cooking additional 2hours for the dumplings to be done. It was my first time and it will not be my last time. Next time I will add the extra 1/2can of the biscuit and some vegetables. My family loved it.

I thought this was great with basically no changes. I used 4 frozen chicken breasts, and cooked on low for 8 hours. I only added one soup can full of water, and it turned out the right consistency. Two hours before serving, I added the biscuits (1 can of grands, torn into 1/4ths). The dumplings were *so* *good.*

Followed recipe with a few exceptions. Used chicken broth instead of water and added a stalk of celery diced. I shredded the chicken before adding the biscuits. The dough took more like 90 mins to get done all the way through and it looked weird until I stired it up. Tasted really good, a little salty from the soup will use low sodium next time.

I made this with frozen breasts. So easy on a busy day. I added chicken broth which made it a little richer. I am making this again soon. You could add peas or mushrooms, but my kids wouldn't go for that.

Really, really good! My husband compared it to his mother's homemade (don't tell). Our children could not get enough either!

This recipe was so easy and delicious. My husband, my niece and my dad all gave it thumbs up. I added chopped celery, and it seems that it could be a very easy dish to add veggies to in order to get those servings in. Definitely a good cold day dish.

One day I was cooking this in the crockpot while I was at work. My house was on the real estate market at the time. It was shown on the day I was cooking this and they bought my house! The agent said my house smelled heavenly and the people loved it!

Very easy and very good. (I tried to use Bisquick biscuit dough instead of the refrigerator biscuits. I do NOT recommend that.)

I used the chicken broth instead of water and I listened to another review that said to put the bread in 90 minutes before it was finished. This cooked the bread too well. I think 30 minutes would have been enough.

This turned out very watery for me. Maybe I should've used only 1/2 can of chicken broth. It's got a decent taste, though. I used a can each of cream of chicken and cream of celery. I also added halved baby carrots and chopped celery. I'll probably try it again sometime with less broth.

I loved this recipe. My partner did not. It's very heavy on the chicken flavor.

Fantastic! You must try this recipe. I have a large family so I doubled the soup, used w cans chicken broth, added sauteed vegies, seasoned it like most others and used only one can of Grands Biscuits. Let me tell you, we didn't have a drop left! Sometimes, simple is best. Thanks sooo much for posting a great recipe.

My boyfriend LOVES this recipe. He does not, however, love onions so I used 1/4 cup of onion flakes instead. The first time I made it, I used frozen chicken breasts and added chicken broth, which made it a little too watery. The second time I still used frozen chicken, but omitted the broth, which worked better. I also added some herbs (parsley, sage, rosemary) the second time. One can of biscuits is plenty for us, and I cooked them for about 45 minutes. Thanks for a great recipe!

I needed to use one can of biscuits. I also added a can of sliced water chestnuts for some crunch. It was delish!

This was wonderful!! I didn't do it slow cooker style, but rather on the stove top in a pot. Still great! I did add some diced celery and carrots. And used chicken broth like suggested. I cut up the raw chicken into bite sized bits to make sure it all was cooked evenly. A keeper!
