very good,i used home made enchilada sauce, left out the water, upped the chicken stock to 4 cups, added a 15oz can of black beans rinsed and drained and as others added my chicken raw and frozen. We used bagged tortilla chips and also topped our soup with shredded cheddar, sour cream, avocado and a squeeze of lime

This is really good - and easy to make. I used the bag tortillas and it was fine. They make them in strips now which were perfect.

Delicious. First time making a soup. Very easy. I omitted the chili powder and peppers because I don't like things spicy. I also used chicken broth instead of water. Save half the cilantro to garnish soup right before eating and the flavors are wonderful! Will for sure make again!

This is so easy to make and so yummy! I used a rotisserie chicken from wal-mart and doubled the cilantro, because we love cilantro, but other than that I followed recipe exactly! This soup reminds me of On the Border's tortilla soup! I put shredded cheese on top, a spoonful of sour cream, and instead of making the tortilla chips I just used Misson brand tortilla chip in the strips shape. I garnished this with a few avocado wedges which is delicious in the soup! I will be making this again!

I love great slow-cooker recipes! This soup is really good, wish I could give it 4 1/2 stars. I probably would be inclined to give it 5 but I have several similar recipes that are all very good.. guess I'm holding out for one to be "the one" and knock my socks off. I would definitely make this one again. Has some spice to it but we added even more.

WOW!! This was soooooo easy and delicious. I served this for my small group Christmas party and everyone enjoyed it. I will definitely be making again. I too just threw in frozen chicken breasts and shredded prior to serving. This recipe is a keeper! I think I will add more corn next time. Thanks for a great recipe!

Super easy, super tasty! I also used frozen chicken breasts and added some black beans. I realized I ran out of cumin so I used some taco seasoning. We topped it with cheese, sour cream and corn chips. I am looking forward to leftovers tomorrow. Thanks!

I made this tonight and let me tell you guys this is soooo yummy!! I didnt change anything except that I used tortilla chips instead. Warning though, if you dont like spicy omit the green chiles and chili powder, although I cant imagine it without a bit of heat. Cant wait for my hubby to try when he comes home from work. Will def make again. Thanks for the recipe Elena ;)

We love this soup. We make it at least once a month. I substitute shredded turkey for chicken - and that is as good or even better than the chicken. Yum.

I didn't have any corn on hand, so had to skip that ingredient. And since I didn't have canned enchilada sauce, I made my own from another recipe on this site. But something about the whole combination just didn't quite work out for me. It was a good consistency, especially with adding cheese and sour cream before serving. But it just wasn't "amazing." Maybe I'll try it again with a canned sauce and see if that makes it different, or with a different type of salsa.

this is a great recipe if kinda pressed for time and love to use your slow cooker like i do.followed the recipe except for a few changes.i used a pre cooked roaster chicken(costco)cut up, 1-7oz.can chopped gr.chilies,3-3/4c.water with 4t.chicken boullion,2-1/2t.cumin,1T.chili powder,2-1/2c.frozen corn,1-can diced tomatoes,2-cans bl. beans,(rinse, drain) small hand full chopped cilantro.omitted the salt, used boullion instead.remember to taste and adjust spices including the salt content before serving.add choppped cilantro shortly before serving.serve on the side, grated cheddar cheese, lime wedges, sour cream, chopped fresh cilantro, and crushed tortilla chips (if pressed for time) and there you have it.enjoy

I made this recipe for a party of 30 and it was really easy! I like the option to adjust the serving size and it calculates the ingredients list for you. Adding the frozen chicken breast to the slow cooker at the beginning was a definate time saver, chicken shreds great about 3 hours after cooking.

This was pretty good and very easy. The changes I made: I used frozen chicken breasts, used Rotel, onion powder, 2 c chicken broth, 1 c water, and 1 can of corn. I also used store bought tortilla chips. When serving, I offered sour cream.

Great recipe. As others had suggested, I added a can of black beans. I substituted a can of diced tomatoes for the can of whole tomatoes so I could skip the "mashing" step. I did not add as much water since I have a smaller crock pot. This made it come out more like a stew, which I consider a plus. I added a lot more than a tablespoon cilantro, and I added it near the end so it would remain fresh and green. I ate it for a week and never got tired of it!

Don't use store-bought tortilla chips! It really is very easy to just bake corn tortillas as in the recipe and the taste difference is incredible. I used baked tortillas for dinner, then for lunch the next day I was in a hurry and packed tortilla chips. Big difference. Don't be lazy if you have time! Also, this recipe was a little spicy for me, but I'm sensitive. So if you're sensitive, you may want to make it a bit less spicy. I could still handle it though; it was so good I couldn't stop slurping it down!!

Easy and delish - the meal to make when you're not in the mood to cook. :) Like several others suggested, I used chicken broth in place of water, plopped frozen chicken breasts in to save time and even used a bag of tortilla chips -- mega time saver and just as scrumptious. I also serve with a spoonful of sour cream in each bowl and sprinkle with taco cheddar cheese. I've made this several times now for various people and always get rave reviews. A sure thing!
