Excellent and so easy, well like by all in the house. I forgot to add the beer, but was still great. I also cooked in a large pot on the stove vs slow cooker. Served over cooked white rice. This will be a regular for our family.

This was awesome! I followed the recipe very closely with the following small changes: I used chicken broth rather than beer (we don't drink beer and don't use it in cooking) and added an additional can of diced tomatoes with chiles because my family loves tomatoes. We also added shredded taco seasoned cheese when it was served and everyone absolutely LOVED it! This is a recipe we will definitely make again!

Yikes! My mouth was burning! There was no warning how spicy it would be. I toned it down with a ton of sugar, and then I could eat a little, but my mouth was still numb.

Super soup! Substituted chicken broth for the beer and a big can of hominy instead of the corn. Quite a hit. Made a huge amount; am on Day 4 and it just tasted better every day.

This recipe turned out delicious! I would also have to say it's been the easiest slow cooker recipe I've made. I've only made 4 so far, but I honestly think it couldn't get easier than opening a few cans, a bottle of beer, and throwing in a few extra ingredients! I cooked mine on high for 3hrs, shredded the chx, and then continued cooking on high for about 45mins. I made the soup with Heineken (there was ZERO "beer" flavor so it was great). I also added 2 garlic cloves, 1/2 tsp cumin, 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper, and some cilantro. I wish I added MORE cilantro because I couldn't really taste it at all. Next time :) Served with tortilla chips, cheddar, and sour cream. Definitely a hit with my boyfriend...which makes me feel great!

This recipe is sooo easy to follow, and the result is delicious! To save calories, I swapped one cup of chicken broth for the beer. I put everything in the crock pot before bed, set it to seven hours, and shredded it when I woke up the next morning (probably about 9 hours later.) It turned out fantastic. It had just the right amount of spice. It does make a lot, so I froze some which I will use again for lunches in a week or two.
