This was good! We made it exactly as written, next time I will drain the beans instead. Otherwise it's perfect! We also cooked it a lot longer than the recipe calls for (10 hrs) and it came out fine.

We really enjoyed this recipe. I did let it cook a little longer to make the chicken a little more tender from the davice of some previse comments but other than that its a hit in my home! I am a full time colege student with a hungry husband and three hungry boys! I love this recipe! I can put it in the crock pot as we are all leaving for school and come home to a hot meal for my family! Thanks for sharing.

Very, very good. Used canned mexicali corn and rotel. I let it cook for an hour more before shredding the chicken. The chicken was very tender and the broth was outstanding especially on a dreary rainy day!

This was easy and outstanding! Instead of tomato sauce I used enchilada sauce and it worked wonderfully. I also didn't have canned corn (or frozen) so I substituted cream corn and it worked just fine. Used rotel tomatoes. I put it in the crockpot and it cooked for 10 hours with no negative results. This was really good and we'll be using it again. So easy as a crockpot recipe!

Made recipe exactly as written and it was OUTSTANDING!! I used the homemade taco seasoning mix and it is excellent, as well. Thanks for a great recipe!

The *best* chicken taco soup recipe! We used cooked rotisserie chicken from the store and substituted chicken broth for the beer. The longer it cooks, the better it is! Great alongside some warm cornbread.

Followed recipe exactly, except used chicken broth instead of beer. Threw all ingredients in crockpot at 10pm, cooked on low all night and served at an 11:00 am luncheon. Everyone loved it! Served with cheese, sour cream and purchased tortilla chips (crushed). Will definitley serve again!

Excellent! I made this using the spices added individually and chicken broth instead of beer. It was super easy in the crock pot and made a big batch. Husband and picky teen son loved it. Unfortunately I didn't have cheddar and tried parmesan in the bowls. It was very good but I'll try the cheddar next time. I may try the taco packet, too, and compare but this was so very yummy. Thanks!

FABULOUS! I make this regularly and follow the recipe as is. I wouldn't change a thing. We like to use the lime flavored tortilla chips - kids like to eat this "soup" - which is more like a chili consistancy - by scooping up with tortilla chips. Everyone always loves it! Great for large groups.

this was awesome!! my boyfriend, his brother and his mother all loved it!! definitely a keeper. i was a little nervous with the beer, and as i took little peeks through out the day i was definitely unsure! but it was fantastic!! i wouldnt change a thing...and i wouldnt be afraid to add in extra stuff you have in your fridge. We had some jalepenos in our garden that added a little kick to it but not much! this was perfect!!

This was absolutely fantastic! This is a keeper and I have had many requests for the recipe! I added sliced avocado to mine when presenting the soup. Fabulous!

I was a little disappointed in this recipe. I would call it more of a chicken chili than anything else. Don't get me wrong, it is good, but I wouldn't say it was great. Will I cook it again? Probably not. I would rather make a chili recipe I got from this site.

One of our favorite soups. I made it many times and adjust it with what I have in my pantry. I always use Bill Erohls taco seasoning recipe. I mainly use black beans-drained and canned or frozen corn, Rotel and diced tomatoes and chicken broth vs. beer. I like the taste better with broth than beer. I surround the crock pot with bowls of chopped cilantro, cheese, sour cream, chopped green onion and BBQ Frito's. My family tops the soup with their fave combo's. All my family and friends have asked and make this soup on a regular basis. So very, very good and easy. Great for parties. Cheap to make too. I have used frozen chicken- breasts or tenders. Whatever I have on hand....dump and go. Come home to a house filled with the smell of this soup. MMM. Yum!

This soup was DELICIOUS! I do not have one bad thing to say about it. You can alter the spicy-factor just by altering the amount of hot peppers you put. I used chicken broth, as someone had recommended, and it was a good choice. I even made my own tortilla chips to put on top!

This is delicious. I made it to freeze and it was awesome when I heated it back up a few weeks later. I replaced the beer with chicken broth as another reviewer suggested.

Beyond Awesome!! I have made this multiple times. My entire family always ask me to make it when the weather is going to be cold! Used Sour Dough Bread Bowls. Even better than using regular ones. I will continue making over and over and over!!

I left a few things out,the onion and can tomatoes.Added extra spices for heat after it was done cooking. The flavor before the extra spice was really good, after even better!! I soaked and cooked my beans rather than using canned. Cooked in my giant crokpot and had NO leftovers. Hubby 3 giant sons and a small son ate every bit. We will be making this for years to come, thanks for the recipe,it was worth it!!

Easy to make and very tasty. I left out the beans, as nobody in my family likes them, and served with the "optional" ingredients - cheddar cheese, sour cream and tortilla chips. Great for football Sunday!
