We loved this. The only thing we would change would be one can of Rotel instead of two and two cans of chili beans instead of one. It's only because most of my family doesn't like tomatoes. This is a definite keeper!

A definate keeper!! Tastes like a mild chili with chicken instead of beef...great for those who don't eat red meat! The only thing I did differently was added a 12oz. can of tomato sauce as opposed to an 8oz. can and it came out great! It was thicker than a soup would be. If you like it spicy you could jazz it up with a few more spices. Great served with corn bread. Really easy!

That was delicious! I'm not a bit onion person so I only used half of one and then added some healthy shakes of chipotle powder. YUM. I took the leftovers into work and everyone wanted to try it when the smelled it reheating in the microwave. I've already been instructed to bring this to the next potluck. Thanks!

I followed the recipe except used chicken broth instead of beer. I didn't want to chance it since I don't like beer. My family and boyfriend loved it. I ate it for about 3 days in a row and didn't get sick of it. This is definitely a fav. Thanks!

I just made this soup today. I had to try it before dinner, because I couldn't wait! It's by far THE best soup I've ever had/made! I'd give it ten stars if I could. I substituted low sodium chicken broth for the beer. For the corn I used frozen Southwestern flavored. Added some garlic powder, chili powder, and some onion powder. This soup is AWESOME!! Thanks for the recipe! It's a keeper!

Wow! This is sooo yummy! I followed the advice and added 1/2 tsp of cumin and 1/2 tsp of garlic. Served with mozzerella cheese and guacamole chips--WOW!

We love this recipe! It was so easy to make. I work outside the home a couple days a week and love to make this before I leave in the morning. I use frozen chicken breasts and I work 10 hour days and the soup is great! Once I even forgot the onion and used minced and it still was amazing! Thanks so much!

A very unusual but good flavor. I think the beer is what made it so different from more traditional taco soups. We ate it for a week since there are only two of us, but it still tasted good at the end of the week.

This soup was very easy to make and very good. I was worried that it wouldn't be spicy enough from reading a few of the other reviews, but it was very flavorful. I used the package of taco seasoning before using the custom spice blend provided by the recipe's owner but next time I will try the custom spice blend since everyone says it is so good.

We LOVE this soup. It has become a regular meal in our house now that the weather has started cooling. It is so simple and easy, and tastes great too. I usually use the recipe for Restaurant-Style Taco Meat Seasoning instead of a pre-mixed packet. We top it with crushed tortilla chips, shredded cheese, and sour cream. Wonderful recipe!

Excellent! My family raves about it, and the leftovers don't last through the next day. I've made with the beer, but also substituted chicken broth instead. Either way, it's fantastic! The homemade taco seasoning is a must for great flavor, and I've also sprinkled a little fresh chopped cilantro in right at the end. Great soup!

Big hit at my house. I used canned chilli beans in zesty tomato sauce and eliminated the can of tomato sauce. Also, no beer in my fridge so I used chicken broth. Going into the rotation for sure.

I thought this turned out to be more like a stew than a soup, but it was still delicious topped with homemade salsa and scooped up with scoops tortilla chips. I only used 2 chicken breasts and I also used a 2 tbsp. of a homemade taco seasoning from this site, Taco Seasoning I. Delicious the next day, too, warmed up for lunch!
