Took other reviewers' advice and drained some of the fat/juices when shredding the meat and then added another partial bottle of sauce. Very easy meal, and both my little ones loved it (surprised me!). Used a "sweet & zesty" bbq I liked, but think I might try something with more of a kick next time.

My husband was skeptical but the results were awesome! I cooked the roast in one bottle of bbq sauce, drained it, and poured a fresh bottle over it for serving. I added a few things to make it more our taste, too: approximately 1 tsp. cumin, 1 tbsp. liquid smoke, a sprinkle of red pepper flakes, and about 1/3 c. brown sugar. Yum!

Okay, This is awesome. I couldn't believe how simple, quick and easy this was!It tastes better than any of the packaged stuff in the grocery stores, for sure. I did tweak it just a bit, I added Chili powder to the seasoning before cooking to give it a little kick. I also used a Sweet Southern BBQ sauce and it was incredible. I will make this over and over again, especially if I have company coming. It's such a time saver, and SO good. I have a two month old daughter, and this allowed me to have some time to myself in the evening instead of cooking! You've gotta try this one!

This was defintely good! We used KC's Masterpiece (2/3's of the bottle added at the beginning). I drained it probably an hour before serving then added sliced onion rings and about a third of a bottle of the bbq sauce. If you use a leaner cut you won't have to drain.

We do this all of the time, since BBQ sauce is always on crazy sale, but we do it with whatever meat we got on sale - pork roasts, chicken breasts (don't try it with skin on chicken - blech). It's a great topper for potatoes.

This BBQ was great! I cooked this on high for 5-6 hours. When I tried to shred it with forks, it wouldn't budge. So I transfered the roast to a cutting board, sliced it, and returned it to the pot. I cooked it on high for another 1-2 hours, then the shredding was easy. I used our favorite sauce, Sweet Baby Rays Original. This made for a delicious sandwich on potato rolls. I served this with kettle cooked potato chips and cole slaw on the bun.

This was an excellent delivery method for barbecue sauce. I was not impressed with the meat. It wasn't as tender as I thought it should be. I cooked it for an additional hour, hoping it would become more tender. Good thing I used a tasty barbecue sauce; otherwise it probably wouldn't have been fit to eat.

My family loved this recipe! Because of football practice we had to let it sit for two hours after shredding, but it only added to the flavor. Will make this agai VERY soon.

this was awesome, i used 2 blade roast so that we would have lots of leftovers. I also used the whisky bbq sauce from this site like others did, but i found that it made alot of bbq sauce. I'm thinking that next time and there will be a next time, I won't add as much bbq sauce in at first but if needed i will add after i have pulled the meat apartr
