Made these for the superbowl. Turned out fabulous! Couldn't ask for an easier recipe. They fell off the bone. Thanks for sharing!

I really enjoyed these. I used short ribs and browned the meat beforehand. I also added some chili powder and red pepper for a little kick. Everyone really enjoyed it and it was yummy.

This is the first time I have made ribs in the slow cooker. I took the advice of other users and replaced the ketchup with bbq sauce and I am glad I did! Excellent flavor! The meat just fell off of the bones!

Man, did my husband rave about these ribs! I used 2 cups of a bottled sauce as a time saving measure-- after the 30 min. in the oven, sliced the ribs into individual pieces and let marinate in the BBQ sauce overnight-- then added a 12 oz can of beer to prevent sticking and burning. Pre-cooking in the oven and then the slow simmer had these ribs fall off the bone tender-- literally! AND-- that membrane/skin that you find on one side of the ribs (which can get kind of tough)? Right after they're done in the oven is a GREAT time to remove that-- just lift it up w/ the point of a sharp knife and peel it right off. Having that off helps w/ tenderness of the meat, as it can absorb more sauce while it cooks!

These ribs were Fantastic!!! And so easy to make! I will be making them for Super Bowl Sunday. I can't wait! I followed the recipe, using Spicy ketchup for a bit more kick.

Okay a really GR8 recipe. the meat comes right off the bone. Although 3hrs is all you really need. Also I added 1 teaspoon of minced garlic to the sauce.

I used 1 cup bbq sauce and 1/2 cup ketchup instead of chili sauce. I did have to add some liquid (beef broth) because my crock pot cooks really hot, even on low. The ribs turned out tender with great flavor.

I used country ribs, 2 tbsp red wine vinegar, substitute 1c catchup with BBQ sauce, reduced chili sauce to 1/2 cup, skip the Worcestershire. Since I used fresh oregano instead of dry, and all I could get from my garden was 2 tsp, I added some thyme as well. I followed the recipe with everything else. The result was OK, a little bit too sweet and spicy for me. Next time I will reduce brown sugar by half and eliminate the hot sauce.

I made this recipe and all turned out fine. Everyone enjoyed. I did use BBQ instead of ketchup. I cooked for a little over 7 hours and it was too long. So I will do 6 hours next time.

This was delicious. After reading the reviews, I did substitute the BBQ sauce for ketchup and it was perfect. Excellent. My husband ate 2 pounds of ribs!!!

Sauce was a little watery, but the taste was devine. Shredded the left over meat and sauce together for sandwiches tomorrow. P.S. Do not skip browning in oven part. Makes a big difference. Spray slow cooker with pam for easy clean up. :)

These are truly great. All our family & friends know that my husband is the king of BBQing (Especially with ribs), he's also very picky with ribs, and he LOVED these, so that tells ya something rite there =) I also use Beef ribs instead, since we do not eat pork, still turns out great. The first time I made these, i did not have any chili sauce on hand so i substituted the (2 cups of ketchup) for 2 cups BBQ sauce and substitued the (1 cup of chili sauce) for 1 cup ketchup and i haven't changed it since. Hope this helps! =)

Fabulous base recipe! I used a mixture of barbecue sauces we already had instead of the sauce here. I also only cooked them for about 5 hours, but they were still super tender. I followed another member's suggestion to put them back in the oven for about 20 minutes at the end to caramelize the sauce (worked out well, because that's just how long the twice-baked potatoes needed to heat up!). These don't have the smoky flavor you get from cooking them on the grill with indirect heat, but you can't beat how easy this is and the taste is still good.

This is a great recipe! I've made it a handful of times; my husband loves it. I substitute 1 cup of bbq sauce for 1 cup of ketchup and have found using a thai sweet chilli tastes really good too. The best part is that it's quick and easy. I can make it the night before or in the morning before work. Coming home to the smell of cooked ribs... mmm, so good.
