My first attempt at cooking ribs at home and they were excellent. These blow away any ribs I've had a restaurant. I followed some of the suggestions and used KC Masterpiece in the sauce. I used a 2.5 lb rack of ribs from Wal-Mart and they only needed about 4-5 hours (on low) in the crock pot. Delicious!!

This recipe made my husband say "wow". He is a huge fan of ribs and wings and he said this was one of the best he has ever tasted. I used spare ribs instead of babyback but it came out great!

These turned out really well. I followed the recipe pretty much to a T. I used Bennett's chili sauce and a different cut of pork-boneless, but they got so tender and my 6 year old daughter had at least three helpings and everyone else came back for more as well. Next time I might add some onions and garlic, maybe a little mustard but overall was a very good recipe. Made lots of sauce so I am shredding the rest to have shredded pork sandwiches today. Thanks for the recipe!

Positively the BEST! I can understand reviewers who may use jar BBQ sauce to make this simpler (I guess), or who sub 1 cup BBQ for a cup of ketchup, but I don't understand how anyone can fault this recipe. The only changes I made was to add liquid smoke, and red pepper. So, so, so very good!

I took the advice of other reviewers and put garlic salt and pepper on my ribs first, then added only a tiny portion of ketchup (I hate it!) but left everything else the same. My results? My 5 and 6 year old were asking for more before they even finished the first rib! Will be keeping this and making again and again...and again!

This recipes yeilds very tender BBQ ribs...however the sauce wasn't my favorite (not terrible but not the best). I would recommend keeping an eye on it for the last two hours if you plan to leave it for 8 hours on low (mine burnt a little).

Very tasty! I (unfortunately) bought the wrong kind of meat (shank) and tried this recipe on it, and it came out wonderful -- as wonderful as shank can be ;).

These were delicious! I used the Country-style Ribs so we had a lot of leftovers, which worked out perfect so I could make Pork Stew. I love living out of my crockpot on my busy days! Thanks for a great recipe!

My husband got into the crock pot a little early to check on them because they smelled so good. When they were ready he dug in and said that they tasted every bit as good as they smelled. Great recipe!

Great sauce! Although I added some extra hot sauce, the rest was the same. Didn't use my slow cooker as it was too small, but the end result was fantastic, will use this again!!

I swapped the ketchup for bbq sauce and seasoned the ribs with salt, pepper and garlic powder when I browned them. I think that it's not the sauce as much as the cooking method that makes these ribs awesome, so I guess if you have a favorite sauce, you could use that. My bf loved them, even the bones were tender. I could hardly get them out of the crock pot they were so juicy and perfect. Great ribs!

Used barbecue sauce instead of ketchup and made a slight difference. Precooking essential. I also put back in the oven after slow cooker just to seal the glaze. Will make over & over again.

***note*** I did NOT use the sauce portion of this recipe (quite frankly, I was feeling lazy) so I just used 2 bottles of BBQ sauce. After the ribs were done in the slow cooker I threw them in a 350 degree oven to harden the glaze on them. The ribs were fabulous and every one loved them!

I needed to know how to cook ribs in the slower cooker. The method in this recipe worked great!! I didn't use the sauce part of the recipe, so I'm not reviewing that aspect of this recipe. Browning the ribs in the oven first, gave them a nice color as well as making them a little crispy, great idea!!! When they were done, the ribs were falling off the bone tender. Thanks!!!
