The best slow cooker rib recipe I've tried! The sauce is excellent, the ribs were tender. I did cut the sauce recipe in 1/2, and we had plenty. Everyone, even my one year old, loved them! This recipe is definitely a keeper! Thanks!

Quite tasty but way too much sauce. I think about 1/2 of the amount would be perfect.

This cooking method is great. I cut a slab of ribs in half in order to fit it in my Crockpot and I used my own bbq sauce. The one thing I had to do after the ribs were all cooked was take them out, empty out almost all but a few tablespoons sauce and pour in fresh sauce before I cut the ribs and took them to a party. The sauce I removed was kind of nasty after all those hours but it sure served its purpose. The ribs were falling off the bone and people were scraping the pieces of ribs off the bottom.

I was off for the day and wanted to surprise my wife with dinner. We have been wanting ribs but our current recipe is a lot of prep work. I have come to love useing the slow cooker and found this recipe. WOW...it was easy and fast and very very tasty. The meat fell off the bones. My wife was really impressed how delicious the ribs were and with me preparing them. It's a keeper!!!! Thumbs up for this recipe.

This was really good-- I think I might cook it a little less than 8 hours because some edges were a little dry. The flavor of the sauce was good-- even my picky rib eater really liked it. It was very easy to make too!

I meat was perfect! I didn't use the sauce recipe. Plus I followed a suggestion by another person. After 8 hrs. I took the meat out of the crockpot and put it back in the over @ 425 for 30 min. I thickened the sauce with some corn starch. It was great!

I didn't use the sauce, and instead used bottled sauce that I like Followed the rest of recipe though, and the ribs were freakin' awesome! The outside was crispy and a bit blackened, and the meat fell right off the bone. Delicious!

This was an excellent recipe! I would have given it 5 stars except I made the alterations suggested by others, mainly substituting my favorite barbecue sauce instead of ketchup. I also added some crushed garlic to the pot that isn't called for in the recipe. Lastly, I also made my own Chili sauce rather than using canned sauce, and it made a big difference. Great recipe, it should be made often!

This is a fabulous recipe! I'm sorry to those of you who get upset when others' change the sauce ingredients, but I neither had the time nor all the ingredients to make this sauce. Plus, I did not want a "ketchupy" taste. I was looking only for a way to easily cook the ribs in the slow cooker. I don't think it matters what kind of sauce you use, as long as you cook it properly. Ribs are good if they are cooked right! I personally used the barbecue sauces, steak sauce, liquid smoke, & worcestershire I had, all mixed together to my taste. I followed the cooking per the recipe and the ribs were great!! This was a very easy recipe. Cooking it for 30 mins prior was no big deal, I just baked the ribs on tinfoil to reduce any mess, mixed my sauce in one bowl, threw in a chopped onion, and other than putting the slow cooker bowl in the dishwasher, there wasn't much to clean up or mess with. Also, I did bake my ribs again on a new piece of tinfoil afterwards for 10 mins, but next time I"ll cut that to 7-8 instead. Will definitely make my ribs this way from now on. I served this with the Cheesy Ranch Potato Bake from this site.

very tasty but came out almost TOO tender, and little bit oily. Still was a hit though, as we dont have a BBQ is this is the best way to prepare ribs for us!

YUM! These are succulent! The sauce is delicious and the oregano is awesome in this. After 6 hours in the slow cooker, the meat fell off the bones and was tender and super moist. Followed the directions precisely and everyone raved. There were no leftovers. I will be making this again and again! Thanks for sharing.

This recipe is awesome. My husband is very peticular about ribs. We eat out sometimes and when I think the ribs are good, he usually complains. Anyway, he loved these!! I will definately make again and even try on the grill. This sauce is great. Hubby even suggested trying it with chicken. Thank you so much for posting it.

I really loved the cooking method. Honestly, I didn't bother trying the sauce. Based on all the reviews, I didn't want to take the chance the sauce did indeed taste like glorified ketchup (no offense). Plus I've made ALOT of homemade barbeque sauces and they unfortunately never taste as good as the bottle. The closest I've ever come to good sauce is Big Al's KC Bar-B-Q Sauce (on this site), but my hubbie didn't like it. So I gave it 4 stars for tender fall-off-the-bone meat with store bought barbeque sauce-thanks!

Great recipe! I did read & take some of the suggestions from others & then adapted it for our own use. I used a dry rub 1st, then simmered it in the crockpot with a very small amt of red wine for about 5 hrs on low. I then poured all the grease out, added my own BBQ sauce & continued on low for another 2 hrs, then placed under the broiler for 2-3 minutes. I also cooked some pork steaks along with the ribs since my husband isn't a rib fan. Both the ribs & the pork steaks were great! Thanks for entering the recipe!

This came out far too soft for us....the sauce is pretty good, but I'd be more inclined to use this as a pulled pork recipe.
