I am asked to bring these rich, meaty and satisfying "trucker beans" to almost every summer barbeque! They make a great side dish or are hearty enough to be eaten as a meal.

A delicious taste of homemade beans which can be served as a meal or as a side dish. Especially great for football Sundays, or frozen for a later occasion.

Better Baked Beans

Tangy, sweet old fashioned baked beans, are made the easy way in this side dish. This is my grandma's favorite semi home-made recipe. She makes it every Thanksgiving, and we usually end up scraping the pan clean! Never any leftovers!

This creole recipe is not too spicy -- it has just enough kick to please your whole family. Serve over steamed white rice.

For those who love to do it themselves, here's a terrific recipe for genuine baked beans - and it's so easy to make! Soak white beans and then pop them into your slow cooker with ham hocks, onion, brown sugar, maple syrup, ketchup and mustard.

Cola Beans

This is a favorite at potlucks and barbeques! I've often wondered if I get invited for my company or my Cola Beans! I've tried several different brands of colas, but have found that the brand in the red can works best. I like to pre-cook the bacon about half-way so it doesn't make the beans too greasy, but it's not necessary. This recipe can also be cooked in a conventional oven at 350 degrees F for about 1 hour.
