I made this for supper yesterday, my husband and I both loved it. I used some french onion soup to start the pork and 1/4 cup of coke for moisture. cooked in on low for six hours. I took the meat out of the broth and covered it to keep warm. I then strained the broth and set it aside. I then added the BBQ sauce, coke, and 1/4 cup brown suger. Then shredded the pork roast and added it to the wet ingredients and cooked on high for 2 hours. My husband says it rivals as one of his favorite meals.

My husband is very particular about my recipes, however he absolutely loved this one. Loved it so much that he wants me to make a bigger batch and invite his entire family for dinner. Next time i would either use a little less coke or a different cut of meat perhaps a butt or shoulder. I thought that the ratio of meat to sauce was a little off.

Super Amazing! Best pulled pork sandwhich!! I used root beer instead of coke and everyone wanted seconds. I get asked to make this all the time and have used chicken and beef which turned out great! I did find that the type of BBQ sauce used is very important as it is the key flavor in the recipe. Don't use the cheap stuff, big difference! Also, try it with 1T of Jamacian Jerk Seasoning........

I love this recipe! So easy and I've struggled with pulled pork previosly. As we all do, I did make some modest changes for my taste - I used red pepper and cajun seasoning to season the roast (along with the seasoned salt and garlic) and I added vinegar, mustard, red pepper and garlic to the barbecue sauce instead of cola. Will likely try it with the cola sometime, but I was in the mood for extra spice today.

The finished product was delicious. It wasn't falling apart tender, I probably could have cooked it longer. As Ginny noted, the smell of cooking pork was nauseating. But again, in the end, it was great.

this was phenomenal!! i used pork tenderloin & also used abt half a pkg of onion soup. it didn't say to add any water & that made me nervous, but it didn't need any... the juices from the tenderloin were perfect! i simmered the sauce by itself instead of adding to the roast just for personal preference but it was so good i'm considering making it for other dishes as well! u can't go wrong with this recipie. yum!

Hubby and I loved this--ate it for multiple meals. I used Dr. Pepper and Sweet n Spicy (Sweet Baby Ray's) sauce. It is better the day after. The only change I made was that I dumped it all in the crockpot at the beginning--no waiting to put in sauce. I cooked it overnight and then pulled it and let it simmer in its sauce for a good 30 minutes more.

This was delicious! I would have prefered a spicier BBQ sauce-we used Sweet Baby Rays and I think Open Pit would have been better. Personal preference

Delicious and so simple. I used 2 pork tenderloins in place of the roast- just put the cola and sauce in at the beginning and shredded the meat after about 6 hrs. then continued to cook for 2 more hours. yum.
