This recipe is great for one of those really busy days. I didn't have a roast, so I used 3 lbs. of boneless pork chops instead. I threw them (frozen!) into the slow cooker, sprinkled them with the salt and garlic powder and cooked them on low for about 8 hours. When I got back home, I shredded the pork right in the crock with a fork, poured in the sauce and soda, stirred it up, and it was ready to go! Thanks for sharing...it was a hit with my family!

My entire family loved this dish! I added some black pepper to the salt and garlic. After the 4 hours on low, I removed all of the cooking liquid and added back a small amount with the BBQ sauce/cola to get a thicker consistency. Then cooked it another 4 hours on low. Super delicious and easy!

Really great. My only tip is to not fully shred the meat - leave some chunks or else it gets too cafeteria-like. :)

This was wonderful and so simple. I too added more BBQ sauce and used the whole can of coke. Delicious!

This was great! My husband wolfed down four sandwiches. The smell of the cooking pork is a bit nauseating. After four hours cooking on low, I removed all liquid and fat from the crock pot. I added more than the recommended BBQ sauce amount.

This recipe is delicious, easy, and cheap to make.. my fiance and I can eat it for days! The only thing I'd change is to drain off a tiny bit more of the juice, because it leaves it just a bit too runny for me. I'm making it again!!

I am addicted to this recipe. I've made it 3 times since discovering it. Each time I've used a different BBQ sauce..not on purpose, the store ran out of the kind I like. My favorite is a smokey BBQ. The soda gives it a nice flavor. I drained the liquid more than suggested before adding the sauce...really, anyway you do it...it is a great recipe.

I'm always looking for "THE BEST" slow cooker recipes and this is it for BBQ pork. This was super easy, with very yummy results. I used Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce (my household favorite!) and regular coke. It was moist, flavorful, and simple to make. We put it on potato rolls for sandwiches. This is my kind of dinner!!!

Incredibly easy and delicious. So much better than the old recipe I used which was much more labor intensive. SOOO moist! I used Sonny's sauce which is a bit sweet.

This was very easy and tasted great! I didn't use the whole can of soda--my roast was smaller than the recipe called for so I tweaked the ingredients just a bit. The sauce was very flavorful and I heated the leftover meat in the sauce the next day for leftover sandwiches. I will definitely make this again!

Good Flavor! I used Dr Pepper instead of Coke. I'm sure it didn't make that much of a difference. My pork took 5 hours to get tender. Coleslaw would go well with this!

So good! I made this for my daughter's birthday party because I figured it would be an inexpensive, yummy way to feed a crowd, and I was right! This turned out so well, and received rave reviews from all of my guests! I did double this (which worked well) and used a nearly 7 pound roast in my 6.5 quart slow cooker. I misread the directions and added the barbecue sauce and cola at the beginning of cooking instead of later on, but it didn't matter, because it still came out so delicious. Since I had such a large roast, this took 8 hours to get tender enough to shred, then another 2 in the sauce. I did need to add a bit more barbecue sauce at this point. I cooked overnight so it would be ready for the 1 o'clock party! Great recipe!

This was my first time making pulled pork, and it was amazing! Made it for NYE, and everyone that tried some commented on how good it was! I was even told it was comparable to restaurants! My boyfriend's dad was shocked that I made it, he thought I bought it, it was so good! :) I used a steak spice that I sprinkled all over the roast, and dried onions - I also used about half a package of onion soup mix poured in the bottom of the slow cooker. Cooked it on low for 6 hours, then took out the pork and shredded it, put it back in on low with a bottle of Canadian Club Honey Smoke BBQ Sauce (it's awesome, made with Canadian Club Whisky!) and cooked on low for another hour. The guests LOVED this, and I will definately make this again because it was such a hit! **Note** Today I made this recipe using a venison shoulder roast and my boyfriend's father LOVED it. He told me that I am now the designated one to cook pulled pork and pulled venison. LOL It was delicious, and I am not a huge fan of venison.

I made this for a work pot luck and it was a huge hit! The sauce was thin but I removed the lid as it cooked for the last 20 minutes or so and it thickened right up. I'll be making this again very soon.
