This was my first time making pulled pork, and it was amazing! Made it for NYE, and everyone that tried some commented on how good it was! I was even told it was comparable to restaurants! My boyfriend's dad was shocked that I made it, he thought I bought it, it was so good! :)
I used a steak spice that I sprinkled all over the roast, and dried onions - I also used about half a package of onion soup mix poured in the bottom of the slow cooker. Cooked it on low for 6 hours, then took out the pork and shredded it, put it back in on low with a bottle of Canadian Club Honey Smoke BBQ Sauce (it's awesome, made with Canadian Club Whisky!) and cooked on low for another hour. The guests LOVED this, and I will definately make this again because it was such a hit!
**Note** Today I made this recipe using a venison shoulder roast and my boyfriend's father LOVED it. He told me that I am now the designated one to cook pulled pork and pulled venison. LOL It was delicious, and I am not a huge fan of venison.
