I had to add a lot of extra. A large can of tomato juice, red pepper (crushed and powder), garlic powder, chili ready tomatos, chili ready beans, hot sauce, among other things for taste, after a while it was a dash of this and a splash of that. It was good even though in the end I relized I forgot chili powder, lol!

Yummiest Chili ever! We swapped the beef for Ground Turkey, added extra chili powder (This chili is not very spicy if you don't ad some extra to it) and we added Black Beans & Chili beans. We also used a mix of dark red kidney beans & light red kidney beans to add to some of that artsy side of cooking. :)

This is a great chili. My very picky husband, dad and brothers all loved it. I did add 2 extra cloves of garlic (we love garlic) and used the tomato sauce and diced tomatoes that have garlic and other seasonings in them.

Awesome! The wife and I loved it. Changed a couple of things to are preference. Went 1 can of diced tomatoes, no green pepper (not fans of green pepper) and added 2 tspns of cumin and 1/8 tsp of cayenne pepper to fire it up abit. May add more cayenne next time. This was my first chili I have ever made and it was the perfect recipe to use.

Made this for taco salads and it is very good. I stayed pretty true to the recipe without having to go to the store. My tomatoes were "seasoned for chili" flavor and I do not buy kidney beans, so I used mild chili beans in sauce. The only addition I made was 1 tsp. of cumin. Thanks for the recipe, I will be using it again!

Super easy to make. I like Chili kind of spicy so I used Chili beans plus still added all the chili powder. I also added a couple teaspoons of cumin and some chopped jalapenos.

This Chili was a hit. I used light and dark kidney beans added some anaheim peppers along with yellow and red chillies to the mixture. It was wonderful. I will definitely make this one again.

Followed the recipe, along with adding a bit of cumin as others had suggested and it turned out perfect. I never thought chili would be so easy.

I found this recipe to be a good basic chili, but I added a few extra ingredients to make it amazing! I added 2x the amount of chili powder, 2 tbs of oregano, and 3/4 cup of red wine! This really brought out the otherwise bland flavor of the tomato base. I also like a much spicier chili, so I added red pepper flakes, jalepenos, and siracha sauce. YUM!

Excellent recipe, we loved the addition of green pepper. I also tried this with half the diced tomatoes and half the kidney beans to make a meatier chili. Both ways were great.

I have to say that this chili was amazing. I did make a few changes though. I added cumin and red cayanne pepper during the browning process and some more in the slow-cooker. Also, I added 2 jalepenos seeded and chopped and a little parsley to garnish. I think that for my first time ever making chili it turned out fantastic! It had a nice spicy afterbite. We loved it! I will use this recipe for a long time to come.
