Also works well with pre-made Thai peanut sauce in the jar that you can buy in the Asian aisle at the grocery store.

I followed the receipe, but added a few items to my taste, japapenos, and more cilantro. It was very, very good.

I should've listened to the people who said how horrible this recipe was, but I thought I'd give it a chance. Well it was awful and will not cook again.

I absolutely hated this recipe. I couldn't even finish my dish, I guess I will be having cereal for dinner tonight. I love Thai food, so when I read the reviews that only gave it 1 star I thought it was maybe because they hadn't eaten a lot of Thai food. That wasn't the case at all. I am not sure why this is rated so high. Unfortunately for me I didn't listen. Don't make my mistake.

This recipe was very disapointing. The smell was horrible & the taste - well, I cant even describe it. This just wasnt very good at all. This is my worst cooking tragedy - honestly.

We did not like it - VERY peanut buttery flavor. The chicken was a little rubbery - not a good combo. We deemed this a "non-repeater".

I loved this! We had friends over and they had brought some food with them, which they promptly abandoned to eat my Thai Chicken. The cilantro and ground peanuts on top gave it an extra oomph.

I don't know if she's right, but my momma said, "Thai don't have crockpots, and they don't slow cook" - I should have heeded her warning. The recipe strikes me as a dummied down peanut satay. A more authentic recipe would shish kebab the meat, wouldn't use onions at all (after 5 hours, they melt and make the sauce taste funny), nor bell pepper (contributes no flavor but also melts) and would use coconut milk instead of chicken stock. Then there's the weirdness in the recipe - you put 3/4 C of fluid along with the chicken in a crockpot, and 5 hours later it's magically the 1 C to be used in step 2? Huh? When I discovered how much I didn't like this dish, I separated the chicken, rinsed it out in a colander, and added my own sauce. This recipe became just a bad memory.

This has to be one of the worst things I have ever made. My husband wouldn't even eat it and he'll eat just about anything. It tasted like some kind of a spicy, peanut butter mush. I definitely don't recommend this one.

This was quite tasty. Didn't have the red pepper so didn't use it and it was fine. I cooked the peanut sauce on the stove and added the slow cooked chicken to it. Husband really liked it, the kids just thought it was ok. You know how kids are. If it isn't chicken nuggets it's just ok.

I served this to my Thai mother-in-law who is a very picky eater and she loved it. Instead of cilantro, I used fresh Basil which was delicious and I noticed my MIL added more soy sauce to her serving, so next time I will increase the qty of soy sauce. A great and easy to make recipe!

We really enjoyed this dish. I made it as written and thought it was perfect. The sauce wasn't too thick, wasn't too peanut-buttery (I used Skippy's reduced fat creamy PB), and it just had a hint of spice. I served it on top of steamed rice. As for some of the comments that it looked unappealing, I thought it looked fine... Chicken with a brown sauce (because of the pb)... in addition to the taste, the red bell peppers and cilantro is nice for presentation. I will definitely make this again!

I prepared this exactly as the recipe is written and it was fantastic! My husband took one bite and exclaimed, "Wow, this is a 'do again' recipe!" It fit perfectly into my new 2-1/2 quart crock pot. The only mistake we made was staying home the day it was cooking...the wonderful aroma made it difficult to wait until it was ready to eat. I served it on brown rice.
