This is a Five star! The first time I made it as written and it was delicious! The second time I added my own twist throwing in a dash of Tony's creole seasoning, some Worchestershire sauce, and about two tablespoons of A1 and YOWZA! It was deicious. My husband had grown up on Manwich and now says he never wants it again!

This recipe is amazing and so easy and quick to make. I use ground turkey instead of beef and cook chopped garlic cloves with the meat, onions, and peppers instead of the garlic powder. Delicious!!

Can't go wrong with this recipe! I used ground turkey, which I browned with minced garlic, worchestershire sauce, and double the onion and green pepper. I had almost 1.5lbs of turkey so I also doubled the sauce, which was the perfect amount! Served open faced on kaiser rolls with a slice of fat free american cheese melted on top. YUM

YUM! These were very good. It definitely needs more sauce though. It was very dry so I tripled the amount of sauce and it was so much better.

Very Good! I read the rest of the feedback and some of the reviews suggested adding only 1/2 Cup of ketchup and 1/4 Cup of BBQ Sauce. I cooked the recipe as is with 3/4 cup of ketchup and added one tablespoon of BBQ Sauce at the end after tasting the recipe cooked following the exact recipe. I believe this is the way to go!

Very good sloppy joes! I have been looking for a good sloppy joe recipe and I think this is it! I liked it because I usually have all the ingredients on hand and it was quick and easy. The only thing I didn't happen to have was the green pepper, but they were still very good. Thanks!

I followed a couple other reviews and used 1/2 cup ketchup and 1/4 cup BBQ sauce. I also didn't use any brown sugar but the sauce still seemed a little too sweet so I added a splash of lemon juice which worked perfectly. The taste of the BBQ sauce still seemed overbearing at first, but after simmering for a little while it was just fine. We used either ground chicken or turkey (I don't remember which) and the sandwiches were excellent. Thanks for the recipe and suggestions - we'll definitely have this again.

Excellent recipe, Better than any store bought hands down. Make some mac and cheese to go with it. My husband mixes the two together for a fantastic "goulash". Thanks for posting

NEVER buying sloppy joe sauce again! I took the advice of another reviewer and instead of 3/4 cup ketchup, I used 1/2 cup of ketchup and 1/4 cup of BBQ sauce...SO GOOD! My husband took one bite and could not stop talking about how delicious this was! I think that next time I make this, I will double the sauce recipe, because we like our sloppy joes extra sloppy :). Thank you so much for an absolutely amazing, quick, and easy recipe!

It is hard to believe how easy this recipe is. If you do decide to follow some of the suggestions mentioned and add BBQ sauce instead of ketchup, don't add the sugar. We added BBQ sauce and the sugar and it was a little too much on the sweet side. I prefer 1 part BBQ to 1 part ketchup.
