Fantastic sloppy joes, athough these are really more a barbecue sandwich than a true sloppy joe. A little on the sweet side though so next time I'd cut the sugar. Very tangy and great flavor overall. I used Sweet baby Ray's sauce and didn't have fresh onion so I used onion powder. I used celery salt instead of plain because it sounded good. Thanks, these were really good!

We substituted dijon mustard for the prepared mustard and it had a little kick. We loved it!

These are very good if you like sloppy joes that a sweet in flavor. If you don't like the sweetness then ommit the vinegar and brown sugar to fit you needs. Otherwise a very good recipe, but the sweetness wasn't as big a hit for myself

It is a good base recipe. I used less ketchup, honey BBQ sauce, Italian seasoning, onion powder, and a little mustard. I don't think I will ever be buying the can stuff again. For a side I cut up a couple red potatoes, tossed them with vegetable oil, Mrs. Dash and a touch of salt. YUMMY! I cut them small enough so it only took about 15 minutes on 400.

This was a good recipe, but I prefer my regular recipe more. No complaints though. My daughter even ate it and she is picky!

I thought this recipe tasted great! For the BBQ sauce, I added chicken and rib sause so it was not overpowering. I also added a little cayenne pepper for an added kick.

This is the best sloppy joe recipe ever! The only change I made was I added chopped green pepper with the onion and garlic. I will be making this one every time I make sloppy joes!

Very good recipe. I took the advice and skipped the brown sugar and vinegar. I added a little sweet pickle relish, just because we like it. Will make this again in the future.

This was the best sloppy joe I have ever had. I thought it might be too BBQ-Y, but it wasn't! It was perfect consistency, not too sloppy! Kids and Hubby also enjoyed!

I love the simplicity of this recipe. I made some changes, added 1 1/2 c of BBQ sauce because we were out of katsup and I used onion seasoning instead of onions and for the ground beef used leftover meatloaf. Turned out great. Served company coming in from out of town at the last minute and was a big hit!!

This is a good base recipe. I always improvise and alter recipes...that's my nature! I added chopped yellow and red peppers, chopped carrots, celery and tomatoes. I would omit the vinegar and also the brown sugar. The BBQ sauce added enough sweetness. I also made it with ground turkey.

Thought this was a good Sloppy joe, I didn't have the cider vinager so I just used white. Was a bit sweet, next time I'll use a bit less suger. Overall, everyone loved it. I used it for one of the "in and out" nights where we eat in shifts... made it in the morning, and put it in the crockpot on low and it was perfect timing... but it did loosing up, so I added just a bit of instant mash potatoe flakes... and it thickend right up. Even my 2 year old ate everything.
