Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 small green pepper, chopped
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1 (12 ounce) can whole kernel corn, undrained
  • 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed tomato soup, undiluted
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. In a large saucepan, cook beef, onion and green pepper over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. Add the remaining ingredients; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 1 hour.

  • Serve additional hot pepper sauce on the side for folks who want a little more "kick" to their Sloppy Joe Stew.
