I agree with another reviewer that it was a bit dry, but it tasted great. My family loved it.

Maybe I made this wrong, but the sauce was too dry for me, unlike the manwich stuff. I will try adding more liquid ingredients next time.

This is a good go-to recipe. It seems awfully sweet to me, and I didn't even add the sugar. I think the fault may lie with my store-brand ketchup. So, my only advice to others would be to wait on adding the sugar until you taste all the other flavors together.

My husband and I absolutely love this recipe, but I never cook it as long as it says. It smells to good to wait that long.

This was good but a little sweet. I still prefer the ones that I make out of the little packet with tomatoe paste. But nice to know you could whip them up with the ingreedents you already have in the house

Pretty good, but not the best I have ever had. Seemed a little dry not to sloppy!

This was very good and easy to make! Only change i made is: I used ground turkey instead of the beef, also added 1/4 cup of chopped onion as others had suggested. Very good and my hubby didn't miss the beef at all.

This is outstanding! As another reviewer suggested, I added about 1/4 cup chopped onion to the ground beef as it browned. I also added a tsp. of minced garlic and a splash of vinegar. This was THE BEST sloppy joe sandwich we have ever eaten! Thank you for sharing your delicious recipe, Laurie!

I decided to try this for my bible study group when the person who was supposed to bring the main dish backed out at the last second. Am I glad I did. These are great! Even one of the kids who I am told is Mr. Picky and won't eat anything had two of them and told me "These are really good!" I All Recipes calculate enough for 16 people and it did well. It could have been because I made so much that it seemed a little too sweet so I added a little cajun seasoning. Not much, just enough to take away some of the sweetness. Big hit. I will be makng this again and again. Thanks!

Doubled the recipe to use one pound of ground beef. Ran out of ketchup and had to add bbq...so that probably altered the taste a little. Easy, tasty, quick and a nice change of pace. I'll make it again (4 stars 'cause it's not as good as when my mom used to make it :-)

I have made this before, and I was just searching for dinner ideas, and remembered how my family all liked this. Its easy and I usually stick to the recipe, but I do add in a bell pepper, fresh onion instead of the powder, and I have also added thinly sliced zucchini to make sure we get some veggies.

This recipe was a good jumping off point. I found it a little too sweet for my taste and wouldn't use sugar. There is already a lot of sugar in the ketchup so I don't feel it needs any more. I would add some onion and green peppers too. I did add a little tabasco sauce to give it a little kick. The kids loved it and asked for seconds.
