I haven't eaten sloppy joes for years and thought I would try them again and was pleasantly surprised. They were far better then I had remembered and this will certainly become a go to recipe as it is quick and easy. The only change I made was adding a tsp of chili powder and a 1/4 tap of cayenne pepper.

I used this recipe to make 15 lbs of sloppy joes for my mom's surprise 50th birthday party. They were a HUGE hit and the flavor was amazing. I will be making these again and again. Thank you!

I made this recipe because I didn't have any sloppy joe mix at home. It turned out good! I didn't have onion powder so I used about 2 teaspoons of minced onion. I will use this again!

I always ate homemade sloppy joes growing up. The first time I had mamwich, I couldn't believe people liked the stuff. This recipe is very good and similar to what I ate growing up. I made it as directed, except for adding some vinegar.

used ground turkey instead and it came out delicious and a little healthier. Also added canned mushrooms. Next time will add some chopped hot pepper to spice it up a little bit! Very good and easy.

This was good, not quite the same as manwich, but a good substitute that contains ingredients I always have on hand. I think next time I would increase the amount of sauce, as it seemed a little dry.

Wonderful recipe. Way better than the store bought stuff. My husband LOVED it, and didn't even believe me that it was homemade. Definitly one of my favorites now.

I made these on a whim tonight and they were ok. I followed the recipe for the sauce but I added less water and cooked it faster...I spread cheddar cheese on top and served on buns... it was meant to be a simple dinner and it was. Thanks for the recipe.

Absolutely the best sloppy joe I have ever had. I have always loved Manwich, but this beats it by a mile. My kids even gobbled it up.

my husband loved this and he is not really into sloppy joe's. I did use real onion and garlic because I happen to have them on hand. This recipe was just the right amount of sweet. I loved them and I do mean them; they are addictive. Thanks!

Delicious. My 18 month old who rarely eats meat devoured these!! To me this is at least as good as Manwich and more practical because I always have these ingredients on hand!

I added a chopped onion when browning the meat, used a lower sugar ketchup to drop the carbs, and added a little chopped red, yellow and green pepper that was left over from an omlette. It was very good! and easy, and I will make this over and over as a quick inexpensive dinner.

I made this to feed about 40 people. They all said it was great! I wouldn't change a thing in the recipe except maybe add a little (and I mean little) liquid smoke. Gives it a kick!

This was a great basis/starter for sloppy joe. I did a little tweaking though: I used chopped onion and also chopped green pepper and browned it w/ lowfat turkey burger, doubled the recipe and kept the sauce the same except omitting the onion powder since I used whole onion. It was great and I will definately make again, thanks! :)
